What is the scariest video game you have ever played?

The library level in Metro 2033 gave me the creeps...I actually had goosebumps whenever I saw one of those pesky librarians. Gotta get myself a copy of Stalker.

Doom 3 definitely spooked me a couple times.
All of the STALKER games had their moments, I've played all 3.

I can relate to that, the first true 3D game was Wolfenstein 3D, to me it was so real, it felt like I was there, and when I got to the end of level 3 IIRC the character was Dr Schabs and threw syringes at you, but it was the start of this level when he called out this evil laugh, my hair stood up on end, silly now but at the time I was shaking like a leaf!!

This game was freakin scary! My kid brother and my "ex" watched me play it. It gave both of them nightmares. (no joke)

The scene I remember the most was being chased by the haunted skeletons. They chase you through the map, you run and hide in the furnace room, and when you turn around, they jump at you and they melt.
