All you guys are so lucky, having sighted and sunk large capital ships. I'm on my FOURTH campaign and only JUST RECENTLY sighted - and sank, I'm proud to say - an Auxiliary Cruiser. Thus far she's the largest warship I've sighted. Now that I have the GWX I'd hoped things would change, but nothing so far...not even a CL!

Played SH3 for sometime now and the best warship I sunk in a Campaign was a Southampton-class cruiser, and that was 15mins ago.

Good moment, C3,Large Merchant, Orecarrier.... Oh what have we here?

Rather get surprises in my career than actively search for a Capital Ship.
But that's my opinion

I'd like to BE surprised once in awhile, LOL. All we ever seem to sight is small ships...a Large Merchant is like ambrosia for my crew!

I've been rather lucky lately, mostly 4000 to 10.000 tonnes.
Got another 32.000 tonnes last patrol.

But something feels wrong, it's almost too easy, I was right in the middle of a convoy and I got away without being detected.
Which is kind off affecting my mentality, every patrol it's like, this is the last one, the previous was too good to be true.
Maybe that's why my men's morale is halfway

Take the good whilst you can...it should get harder.

Lucky! I usually get detected right away, even when I'm running silent and have the periscope barely out of the water. I thought escorts weren't that well-trained in 1940.

I find the biggest issue here is avoiding bad habits. It's pretty easy to become complacent in which case you're in for a rude awakening once the escorts start using effective tactics.
