I'd say the main problem with her right now is that the main guns reload waaay too quickly. I'm able to put about 8 salvos downrange in a minute, which is double what even the CAs mounting the same guns could manage. The second problem is she submerges very quickly. Like, Type VII u-boat quickly. Given how long it take a US fleet sub to submerge early in the war, the Surcouf's dive time is ridiculous. Apart from that, she seems to eat through the batteries while taking forever to recharge them, but I'm guessing that's probably realistic.

Edit: I just thought of something else. While at periscope depth minesweepers and the like will not cross over the Surcouf to drop depth charges. They begin acting like they're about to collide with another AI ship and will just jet forwards and backwards. I don't know if Destroyers act the same way because honestly, I don't want to be anywhere near periscope depth with a DD bearing down on me.
