Ding, Ding, Ding!!

BINGO!

...Thus the REAL reason for the DRM/OSP. Ubisoft likely considers any modder who creates free add-on units as a threat to thier income stream, and thus no better to their bottom line (add-on sales) than pirates.

Do not hold your breath for a Granny importer coming from Ubi anytime soon,...if ever.

Although I don't know if that is the correct MTB you are looking for.

A counterpart for the S-Boot would be awesome!
No thats the Fairmile but an equally important MTB that hasnt been modelled up to now in previous versions
Well worth having ingame

Cheers

Only the ASW trawer used in that capacity and thats ingame already tho not as a playable unit
Of course other units hunted subs - the usual corvettes\destroyers etc and Frigates after mid 43

Might be worth trying importers/exporters on this page:
http://gr2decode.altervista.org/download.html

They are 3dsmax plugins for custom content in Neverwinter Nights 2.
The file type suffix is gr2, which is what SH5 uses. It's probably a long shot, though.

@OP

I wonder, what is the polygon budget for this modell? Surely you are not making a model with 1.000.000 triangles?

Some more work on the bridge section (plus finished the covering of the wheelhouse windows on the front).

Still waiting for my ordered drawings...

Deco, don't worry! The boat, as of yet not optimized, will be far less than 1.000.000 triangles. Most of the detail stuff is in there now.

Remember: The bridge section has to be more detailed because of the player standing there all the time.

I guess the guns will add some more polys though...

Lots of research went into this project so far.
Should have started doing some simple bridge for an ingame surface vessel...

Cheers!

if you don't have one already, we must find you a mate, let you reproduce and use your children to pass on your genetic knowledge. wait. let's just clone you. up to five. this will speed up things.

Yeah, the smaller ones were nice, too. But the so-called Kalottenboote had this special look. Sleak and mean, you know?

The engine room looks quite spacious. I thought it was more cramped down there.

Hey, I'm currently single - so if you know some girl around this forum...

Back to the topic:
Did some work on the rear deck. Mostly life rafts and small stuff nobody is ever going to notice.
I'm currently trying to get hold of the rear part of the boat, smoke generators et all. I think I added some too simplified cylindrical geometry there.

BTW. Anyone here who has read 'A Prayer for the Ship'? Just found it and started to read. It's about MTBs around GB's east coast (more like a short novell).

Oh, and a pic for being so patient.

Cheers!

This looks fantastic! Will this be a boat we can "pilot" or one that will be adding to the mix of boats we see wandering around the harbors?
