No one has the right to not be offended, everyone has the right to free
association and speech. Anyhow, it's probably a shot in the foot. The more extreme the extremists get; the more they alienate those who might otherwise sympathize with them. If you don't want to give them what they consider a victory, then don't give them the reaction and publicity they desperatly seek.
