I think shooting Englishmen is "upholding common sense and dignity". What do you think about that?

If rightwingers would march against this provocation, then this only is because the democratic mainstream and the oh so moderated burgois leave the need of confronting Islam to them, because they are too intimidated or too comfortable to confront it themselves. That way, opposition to Islam has been demonised as racism since many years in Europe. but fact remains that the inactivity of the politicians disgust more and more people who originally are moderate and democratic, but see that the moderate and the democratic powers completey fail on the challenge of Islam, and instead even assist it. And by that you turn more and more moderate, reasonable, democratic people if not into rightwinged extremist then at least into people silently tolerating rightwinged extremists. the minarett vote in Switzerland must be understood that way. Too great ignorrance of politicians for the real public opinion on islam, and too many people seeing that they get betrayed by those they have trusted to solve the problem.

Political extremism does not just fall from the sky, by random events. It can be explained, and in this case it is because the moderate powers fail. No other religion or political ideology gets so much media awareness today, than Islam. It is the most dominant ideology, both politically and relgiously, in europe, seen that way, it is omnipresent in the media like even the church is not, or a party's program - although muslims are still a minority only, while agreement levels to democracy are constantly falling since years amongst born europeans. but muslim colonies grow and grow in size. Imagine the noise there will be once they are strong enough to form a party collecting 10% of the votes.

You do not want rightwinged radicals claiming the opposition to Islam a cause for themselves? then go to the street and march against Islam yourself, and kick politicians supporting Islam. Or become a member in a grasroot movement confronting Islamic projects, like I did myself.

In the final days of the GDR, the Eastgermans marched in the streets, and their most feared and most famous slogan was "Wir sind das Volk!" - We are the people! Let no dumbheaded philantropic islam-loving politicians, who know nothing about it and will see forward that they must not live in its neighbourhood, enforce their insane policy of cultural selfdestruction upon you! We are the people of europe. So let'S send these political kamikaze gangsters to hell. fight against Islam while you still have time. Your children, when they have grown up, possibly will already find it impossible to do so with at least a realistic chance of success.

Yes, OTH is the guy who uttered the classic statement: Pfft, compared to me Gandhi is a nazi. And then overreacted to a little teasing and showed us his inner "racist". Watch closely, Morts, this is how Ghandi operated

Freedom of speech, let them protest.
The more publicity Choudaray gets the more stupid he looks.
500 protesters???????
How many did he manage to get together last time for the Anglian regiment parade after a big publicity drive and offering to lay on transport?
He just about made it to double figures didn't he

But seriously, the EDL going to Wooton Bassett as a counter protest? Bloody hell thats just as much of an insult to the troops and the families, maybe even more of an insult as those gob****es will be waving the same flag as the coffins are draped in when they come off the plane.

Again the phobia of identifying a few fruitcakes as the whole religion.

Still feeling bad about your local protest problems and your protest group attracting neo nazis.

I gotta point out, OTH, that it is NOT racism to be critical of Islam.

Islam is not a race, it is a religion that pervades into the way of life of its subscribers.

Why is it that noone can criticise islam, but to criticise judaism results in bitter, lie-fuelled clashes and christianity is free game? I've never had an answer to that question.

At the end of the day, islam judaism and christianity all worship the same entity. their clashes are absurd.

That may or may not be true, but it is not important. When we talk of Isalam in contexts like here, we do not mean the theological or philantropic or spiritual diemnsion of it, but we talk of Islam in its political and sociological dimension, and the effectsthat Islam creates in it, and in society. And there it could not be any more different from a democratic liberal open secular society - whose rules it does not accept and totally refuses to accept now or in the future and sees as a hostile entity that must be overcome.

Sorry to ask but I'm a bit lost after reading the article: What exactly is that "islamic" march about? I mean, I have understood they are planning to go on parade through that town, and all that, but what exactly is their message, protest or whatever for that parade?

Protests against the war I believe, with an under/overtone of anger against British soldiers.
Of course, it's the positioning of the march that's the problem, these sort of marches go through London fairly often, but Wooton Bassett is the place where the war dead of the UK are marched through on their return from operations. Barely a month goes by without it being on the news.
The march won't take place now, which is, I think, a pity.
Up until now, these 'minority' groups have had it all their way, if they have a problem, its fixed for them quicker than you can say 'hate-crime', however the growing anger in the UK against the immigration problem and the Islam issue has, so far, only been represented by gains made by the BNP. What is needed is a mass riot to make the government take notice and address the greivences of the people, however knowing how heavy handed and politically correct the government is, it would probably then condemn it and push it under the carpet.
Things in Britain are simmering, just below boiling point, and all it will take is one person in the wrong place at the wrong time, and there will be bloodshed, by god there will be. Rivers of Blood, to quote a famous speech.

Provocation, nothing else. Spitting in Brits' face (but taking their wellfare money nevertheless). It's about making us falling back another small step. This time they may have failed - or not? The media coverage they got is a huge success.

A walking, acid slime-hole that fellow is. Get into contact with it, and see yourself getting digested alive by the slime.

It was asked during a discussion around christmas: why are Muslim employees never offended when being payed christmas money by their employers?

I heard a similar analysis from a friend in Spain..
The same timebombs are in all other countries aswell, ive predicted before that the story will have a violent ending.

pleasing the minorities is taking more and more extreme forms lately, at least here in the netherlands.

recently a public high school with a 30% muslim population cancelled all festivities having anything to with christmas, because "celebrating chrismas would be offensive for the muslim students". The school did however celebrate ramadan, which apparently wasn't seen as offensive for the 70% non-muslims
luckily under pressure of the dutch press they eventually reintroduced christmas festivities

And then they're always protesting about being discriminated.. hell, who were being discriminated in this case?

Oh and before anyone's gonna accuse me of being a nazi:

..which is almost exactly as much nazi as ghandi was
