How about Lorelei, the Witch of the Pacific, or "Sea without Exit",..
both japanese submarine movies..really well done. Sea without Exit is about the Kaiten suicide torpedoes... worth watching |

WTF, no Run Silent Run Deep?! That movie was excellent in portraying the entire attack procedure for US boats. And it had ten times more in-the-sub action than Das Boot.

I looked it up...I can't believe that's Lauren Holly. Briefly married to Jim Carrey, starred in a bunch of episodes of NCIS, but my favorite movie of hers was when she played Andrew Dice Clay's sidekick Jazz in The Adventures of Ford Fairlane.
