Don't worry we'll re-base a couple Me109 Squadrons to deal with them. :rotfl:

It's called "global dimming" IIRC. The theory has been around for some years now that the exhaust gasses from industry and traffic are causing the atmosphere to let less light through to the ground and by doing this impeding global warming....

But cloud ships sounds really stupid even to me.

The real issue if you believe such a thing is that the 'greenhouse gasses' do not let the radient heat escape. Much like putting a lid on a pot of water, it boils faster.

Thats why clear nights are much cooler than cloudy nights.

Oh and the 262 would have kicked ass...... if it had duration.. oh and that silly flame out problem.. and the explosive fuels... and...

Ah let's derail this.
1. The duration let a lot to be desired but it was enough to get up and shoot at your bombers. That's what it was meant for and it could do it.

2. All jets suffered from flameouts back then and the Me 262 had two engines and could easily fly with only one left (if it didn't happen on final approach where the pilot hasn't had the speed or altitude to react...).

3. Aren't you confusing that with the Me 163?

I think you mean 20,000.

And this concept isn't as far fetched as many seem to think. Weather control is quite plausible, and has actually been done before. See the Chinese 2008 Olympics rain dispersal rockets incident.
