How did you do that Letum? I'd be curious to give it a go myself.

I used a rather expensive program called 3ds Max, however there are plenty of
other free programs that can do just as well.

All take quite some time to learn, but it is fun.
If you are interested and have some time, give me a PM and I will see if I can set
you in the right direction.

I am going to struggle to fill 256x256 with just the ship and 256x256 is a strange shape for a sig.....

.
I find it cool that you managed to port that into 3dsmax. That is where I'm having issue. I have an older version of 3dsmax around here somewhere (from about 2002/2003 time frame), but never understood how one would import an object without physically drawing it.

I have Blender too, but most of my drawings were always 2D in AutoCAD LT's various revs. I must look into this importation thing.

Thanks man!

Importing?

I made the object!

Subdivision: 30 mins
UVWing: 20mins
Texturing: err....10 seconds? :P

Nothing special really. I'm hoping to cover over the poor quality in photoshop.

That's what i thought. I have heard that you can import something from a picture into the newer versions and turn it into a 3d model, no?

I'm no expert on drawing in 3dsmax, or blender for that matter. Must learn one of these days and make a cool animated movie or something.

Nice work. Linton asked for an avatar, so 256x256 makes sense (actually, it's pretty generous for an av).

Letum ,thank you for all your help. The picture will look great as an avatar. On the board it will be used on signature strips are not allowed and I will put a suitable comment underneath it.The A300 is used to rescue long haul flights when the dedicated long haul aircraft are unavailable. We call it Thunderbird 13 to the rescue. Can I use your designs as a sig strip on this board?
Can you put Thunderbird 13 to the rescue on it?
