I went to YouTube to relax some and calm the nerves and loaded the game before the attack and managed to sunk both (MORE TIME PARADOX!!!)

Some people say it's not cool to save the game before an attack, but say that when your ****ing game crash so much like mine...
Cool or not cool, you choose what you believe is best, but if you save just before an attack, so does the chance for the corrupt files, so it's better for you to save after, and where attention so that there are no boats or anything that may disrupt your save

Hum? I play SH3 for 2 years and I never had problems with saving. And I save a lot, mainly when about to raid some harbor or going on dangerous areas for too long (Caribbean and North America's coast in 1943)

Mods? to be honest... you shouldnt be having resource issues with that setup.... it's pretty good!

If your using some heavy mods though, Wilhelmshaven, FM int, etc.. you might though....

The only one I don't have 'Hitman Optics for GWX v.1' but I doubt that is the cause....all I can suggest is a fresh install I'm afraid.

The SH3 game engine is often ever so unforgiving/tempramental.

Lifeboats and Hitman's optics(or GUI) could be reason for ctds. My machine never liked them together.
