The real issue if you believe such a thing is that the 'greenhouse gasses' do not let the radient heat escape. Much like putting a lid on a pot of water, it boils faster.

Thats why clear nights are much cooler than cloudy nights.

Oh and the 262 would have kicked ass...... if it had duration.. oh and that silly flame out problem.. and the explosive fuels... and...
