Silent Hunter V...

Now I have silent hunter II,III,IV,and V!!!

I've heard this is pretty much unplayable in its original form. What are the must haves to make this thing at least playable?

Thanks for the reply... I have a hard time making decisions with so many options. So, I'm going to go for Sober's Mega Mod. Seems that he's tested it and it must be stable and safe...

Keep in mind I've never installed a mod for any SH games... So I'm doing a complete 180 and installing what looks to be about 50... Who's waging bets that I'm going to completely screw this up?

So you've only played SH3 and SH4 in their stock configurations? You've missed out on the best parts of both. In fact I would go so far as to say you've never really played them at all.

If you do it right, there will be no problem....

I installed Sober´s Mega Mod in one go and all worked perfectly and still does

It is the firs time I ever have mod´ed any game and I´m no computer wizard... But did a lot of reading beforehand and took it line by line

Chances of you doing this yourself manually are slim. TDW has an exe patcher program that will do all of that for you, without any messy coding.
