Well, I received (in the mail) this program. I opened the box and over-whelmed by all the stuff (books, etc. and two CDs).

You know what? I haven't got the foggiest idea where to start. It mentioned other things like installing Quick Time, other utilities I really don't think I need them. I do have Real Player and that is what I use to view my Windows Movie Maker vids. I just want the shortest and most uncomplicated Studio 9 to make Frap movies. I don't want to get into all the other stuff.

Ok, you guys who use Studio 9, can you give me a hand and should I start a new thread for this situation.

I only want to put the Fraps vids into a movie strip, add text, music, etc. and then make the movie of it.

I really appreciate you responding to my plea sth128. Since no one was giving me any hints, I muddled through the program for 4 hours and eventually learned how to put a Frats vid into it and how to add a simple text to the vid.

Still have a lots more to learn.

It sure isn't as easy as using Windows Movie Maker, which, by the way, is so PLAINLY understandable, even a Cave MAN could do it.

Now I have to learn how to do the things listed in Windows Movie Maker under the heading of "Titles and Credits", "Video Effects", video transitions. Making the titles fade in and out, and simply make a grayscale out of the title page or a Credits page..

It's probabably going to take me the rest of the day and on into the weekend. Their book is most impressive, but doesn't help me very much.

ADDITION: Oh,my goodness, I found an online manual, which seems to explain how to do things a little better. Perhaps I'll find that even "I" can do it, eventually.

ADDITION 2: Well I'll be darn. With the reference manual open and Ulead upen at the same time, I was actually able to figure out how to make the text fade in and fade out, they call it "cross-fade" :rotfl: It only took me 1 hour to figure that out.

Thanks, i figured how to view them using Nero 7, it looks as if you encoded them with mpg2. Great videos and beautifull style, considering the limited camera option that you have in silent hunter III compaired to the options available witl il2 forgotten battles.

I'm curious respecting wich software and codec do you normally use, my personal experience is that encoding with Huyffyuvv codec (lossless) reduces the filesize of the FRAPS captures and allow you a better editing process with premiere. I then do the final encoding with virtual duv using a two pass XVID encoding.

I was watching the History Channel last night and watched "Jutland" and then on "Disasters of the Century". I watched the story of the Hunt for the Bismark. Now some parts were actual movie shots but other parts, such as the sinking of the Hood and the attack by the Brits on the Bismark (I bet a dollar) were made using either SH3 or GWX. I could actually see the resemblence in the planes and the ships. The credits went past so fast that I could not verify my assumption. But it was great, especially explosion of the Hood "and how she sank" was typical SH3 style and so was the explosions and burning and sinking of the Bismark. Her rollover was SH3 typical. It was great to watch.

I wonder if we can get that movie documentary.

5. Heavy storm plus encounter of another german u-boat.
6. Attack on convoy and the consequences.
7. Resupply at Vigo.
8. Gibraltar breakthrough attempt.
9. Returning to La Rochelle plus final air attack.

Part Two (and additionals if required) are not done yet because I have to finish the complete patrol, still have plenty of torpedoes left.

As for the other stuff you mentioned about Das Boat Remake, I wish I had the skill the design the SH3 editor to do it. I assume that's what it takes to do it.

Not only that, I was unable to get the music to fet the movie sequences very well. I don't know how to do it.

for that i got a trick.
i first put all recorded parts in movie maker. then i look for a song (or songs) who fit the time line.
to short ? then i search for a other one. to long ? perfect!
that way i can add the title's and credits. still to long ? cut a part of the song or just search again.

this entire process takes up a lot of time :roll:
but it seems ppl are to lazy to put comments on them :nope:

i hope this will help you for a bit :up:

This video was built with WMM but I forgot to increase the luminosity, sorry. But when it is downloaded you can increase in your player.
However, it was the night and it is really difficult to do good work by night…
Now I have Vegas Sony 7.0 but I can't use it yet well…
