Speaking of type IX, I will probably release also an add-on mod for those playing from Bordeaux to Indian Ocean … but lot of work still :03: Would that add on, also include Lorient to the Indian ocean/Penang area, as well... as uboats as I recall... sailed from there, as well. :hmmm:

I realized that St Laurent gulf is quite empty actually, and will change that :ping:

I already fixed 2 small errors from Stiebler (that didn’t seem to affect campaign of what I know) in American roster and DefSides…

Thanks as always for your work.

But... Loading times are still very acceptable here (less than 4 minutes). On my machine and set up it took 14+ minutes to load first time out and crashed my system upon exiting the program. No worries, I have reverted once again to your July version, which runs great, loads in just five minutes and has been entirely stable so far.

Anyway, enjoy your holidays and stay safe.

Je voudrait ajouter que les afficionados du bricolage ...il n y a pas besoin de cette interface hud d ailleurs qui est trop lourde.. :Kaleun_Los: le mods de Fifi va devenir un best of donc il n y a rien a bricoler c est compris contenter vous de relevez les erreurs ce seras deja pas mal non

Have not had a chance as yet to load it up. Working a career on your last release getting into the Med. :yep: NYGM escorts make things interesting running that gauntlet.

I'll clear some space on the old HD and give this new release a go later today and give you some feed back. :up:

all good here so far. It is absolutely beautiful. Haven't had the opportunity to mix it up with any escorts yet. Been busy with real life stuff this week, to be able to spend the proper time playing. But I'm in route to my ordered patrol grid. Great job!

Got it downloaded & set up... am at the start of a new career start, in a VII-B, based out of Kiel & on My way to the assigned sector to patrol. Everything looks great with no issues that I have ran into, thus far.

The only thing I noticed when tried your ships in Single Mission is this:

As you can see, the flags and the guns are out of place....
Those are the Day Star Merchant (M30A) and La Cordillera Merchant (M30B)

May... wanna add that there destroyer, the one that leads you out of Kiel.


Seems the guys manning the guns, are related to Casper the ghost... all that is there on any sign of them, is their helmets, floating in mid air.


Will see of grabbing a screen shot of it, to pin down the exact destroyer... but know it is the one that steams ahead of you, if you go with leaving from the docked spot there in port. :yep:


Not sure if there are any other ships that deal with that same issue or not, will see if that is the case there, as I am able to. :shucks:

M30A/B/X have been fixed :up:

Created Tangier (Marocco) harbor not existing yet… with traffic and docked ships.
This harbor had curious status, as it became Spanish neutral after German invasion … but controlled nearby Allies.

Introduced this American air ship with US patrol surveillance... :)
Long time i wanted him in NYGM.

lors de mon montage... des problèmes avec mon personnelle a bord avec les officiers en particulier.. lors de la première patrouille j effectue ma composition personnelle des que je change le cartographe j ai droit au "ctd"
dans commander option activer all ready in sh3 (origine pas toucher)

une autre question
dans "commander" voir screen flèche rouge on a 2 option :
- all ready in sh3
- réalistic
maintenant il y a aussi ce carrer flèche bleu
- Select to randomise crewmen names and expérience faut il s en servir ?

MISES À JOUR DU NYGM POUR "SH3 COMMANDER" DE J SCONES (version 3.2)

Ces mises à jour sont des fichiers .cfg qui doivent être installés dans votre dossier existant SH3 Commander\cfg. Les originaux contenaient un certain nombre d'erreurs qui auraient pu causer des plantages.

N'oubliez pas de faire d'abord des sauvegardes des fichiers originaux !

Veuillez noter que les options de sabotage et de dysfonctionnement dans SH3 Commander 3.1 ne fonctionnent pas avec NYGM.

Noms de navires par Sailor Steve. N'oubliez pas de lire le manuel PDF du SH3Commander pour savoir comment créer des journaux de patrouille avec des noms de navires et des tonnages aléatoires.

mon choix 1 comme tu peu le voir il fait déjà partie de la composition
ensuite bleu 1 déjà dedans mais s affiche dans le choix..
bon malgres cela j ai reussi a partir je sais que les photos poses probleme mais quand meme plusieur fois ctd avant de pouvoir partir..

Je ne me sers jamais des cases que tu as montré dans Commander.
Toujours le basic équipage pour démarrer, ensuite tu changes ou ajoute ceux que tu désires :yep:
Au démarrage de la toute première mission, faut toujours éviter tout changement / ajout (personnel & matériel)

In my second mission with the mod the white box also appeared after I attacked a task force at night and the escorts search lights were pointing in my direction.



The only other thing I've noticed is that the radar does not rise up from the conning tower and only rotates in the conning tower itself. Is there a key combination that will get it to rise up and work properly?

I'll tell you more when I have another more imposing target... but I must say that for this one as well as the plane it's all good my Fifi the fires work very well, certain they are triggered after very good.. . smoking it is better that's for sure..!! but I'm waiting to see on another target...

A distinction, that I did make known in My post, Fifi... dunno why it was taken out of context that there was any error on your part. :hmmm:


The new set up is working fine, it was with the one before that... that for some odd reason, went bonky... all the other hardcore versions released before it, I had no issues with that happening.


As I mentioned, was just an odd quirk that occurred... on My side of things. :yep:


No idea as to why, cause the way I have been setting it up, has been consistently... the same. *shrug* So, am at a loss as to why it happened.


I just attribute it to a fluke & as of now, am just going to let it go & move on...


Know that I seriously, appreciate all the hard work you do in doing this Fifi, bud. :up: :yep: :shucks:

Left from Bergen Jan 44. Encountered a Task force which I attacked. Sea state was 12-13 and none of my torpedo's hit the target. Two detonated prematurely.
Destroyers came for me. I took multiple screenshots of the white/grey boxes and several of the destroyers who were hunting me. How do I get the screenshots to you?
BTW, I sorted out the radar issue and it works fine now.

It appears from above that you have you NYGM set up in your C:/Program Files (x86). You should move it to just your C:/. Your mods may work better without interference from Windows.

Am with Fubar on that... looks to be that you have the set up in \Program files (x86) there... which is where you do NOT want to have any SH sims, set up... EVER...:yep:


Did I mention... EVER...:hmmm:


Trust that you are indeed, well versed in how to grab a clipboard copy of JSGME's mods activated list...


Just to be sure, open jsgme, click on tasks (dead center of it), scroll down through the pop up menu til you see & highlight "Export activated mods list to" then select & click on "clipboard".


This will allow you to then paste that activated mods list here in a reply post.


That'll allow us to see what all you got activated in that mod soup of yours... & see what could be causing your issues quandry there, silentwayIII... :shucks:

Have re-installed SH3 on the C:\ drive as per your instructions. Its working well and is stable. I will let you know if I engage enemy ships at night and there are search lights used. Hopefully the issue I was having with the square light boxes is gone. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

I'm just getting around to installing the latest NYGM ENHANCED. Regular (Atlantic) Campaign is perfect as usual, and again a big thanks for that. When I start a Black Sea Campaign, I get about 1/2 or 3/4 way across the load screen and I find myself back to the desktop. What I've done : 1 re-downloaded and re-installed. Didn't load a BS career. 2 Cleaned out my past careers. Still didn't load a BS career. 3 Tried a career with the last version (not latest) and it worked perfectly. On a note. I haven't added anything or modded to my boat. I don't on the first patrol of a new career anyway. thanx Jerry

There is something wonky with the start date as I get CTD if using October date. Runs fine when I used November.

Did you guys try to empty your mod folders and see if that clears the issues? You do lose all your progress of course, so you might copy the data somewhere "safe" first, just-in-case... :salute:

I got "CtD" after shooting this one.. AF87 tiles.. still in the running-in mission...for the fires it works great I really like it..
I'm going to see tonight relaunch we'll see... it must be said that I was a little monopolized by Destroyer The U-Boat Hunter .. All War on Sea TTE mod... sh5 wows... a lot to see at the moment it's very good..!! but not enough time.
I'll see if I go up a new Install for the black sea...

Propbeanie, NYGM Enhanced plays perfectly, as always, with all or none of the additional mods activated. When I activate the BLACK SEA CAMPAIGN MOD, it's a quick trip back to the desktop.

Tonite I'm going to up-date my other PC and see what happens. oh, and one more thing. The last version, I don't have any issues with at all.

Can also throw My hat into the ring on the issues faced thus far, by others as it pertains to trying to do a BS career... have done like Doolar & Kal there, fresh set up... no changes to the sub in office, other than setting the no stab view in the realism settings, that is... that's it.


Set up has an all new, all its own save folder... & am also hitting that CTD blues, as well.


Just finished up, attempting to start off in a Type IIA U-boat... 4 attempts, 1st in Oct of '42, then Nov, of that year... Dec then final attempt was in Jan of '43...


All 4 times, load bar got to all the way full... & within a minute or so, BAM... drop kicked right in the gonads & dropped to desktop.

Wasn't wined, dined yet scrooged... :doh: :o :oops:


With the AS' side of it... nary an issue... outside of that quirky type 34 DD with the previous version... which am still confounded as to why it occurred... :06: :hmmm: but... no matter. am up to date on the latest version & that's what matters. :shucks: :up:

Have 2 separate FEHC NYGM* set ups, each in their own folder... 1 is the AS career set up & 1 in which I was hoping to go for doing a BS career with a Type II...

Each has their own save folder, so no possibilities of cross contamination with the other... so... :o :06: :hmmm:

I have an old Flotilla.cfg files from WAW that was enabled and they have the November start date. Changed that file out restoring the correct flotillas files and was able to get multiple saves and no issues. :up:

I forget that some mods are not compatible with WAW stuff.

Fubar's the only 1 that has... & so far, hasn't decided to share that info on what they did to resolve it.


On My part, just confirmed that it is happening, that the install I had & the save folder were in fact, brand new install set ups...


So, unless Fubar decides to lay out & let it be known just what they did... only option is... to just shart can the BS mix, & stick with the AS side... as well as the MS side... and wait for the next release... :shucks:

Ajout de la 30e flottille à Constanza pour jouer la campagne de la mer Noire, en remplacement de la 33e flottille. Sélectionnez UNIQUEMENT le sous-marin de type IIA dans SH3 Commander !! En juillet 44, demandez le transfert vers la 11e Flottille et désactivez le mod.

pour moi c est pas très clair
si j ai bien compris dans commander au démarrage je choisi Types 2A..je ne touche a rien d autre..
ensuite dans le jeux dans la sélection du départ de la flotte...je sélectionne "30e flottille à Constanza" en 1944 puis dans la page du jeu demande de transfère vers la 11e Flottille appliquer la demande (il dit: No request) puis ressortir du jeu et désactivez le mod. quand on relance on doit choisir Quoi la 11 ou quoi ? puis les sous marin d ailleurs pas de types 2A vraiment c est pas claire ton bricolage tous du moin pour moi...
j avais jouer a la mer noirs sur WaC 5.2 mais le montage est totalement diffèrent puisque sur celui ci c est un mod a part entière

pour la méditerranée

Activez ce mod lors de la campagne méditerranéenne (29 Flottille) du 01/12/1941 au 31/08/1944 commençant à la base de La "Spezia" se terminant à la base de Toulon.

j ai bien démarrer a la "Spezia" j ai effectuer quelque mètres puis Ctd

j ai 3 install fresh clean Atlantic... Mer Noire.. Méditerranée..

après 3 h d essaye j arrête je voie pas....

Fubar's the only 1 that has... & so far, hasn't decided to share that info on what they did to resolve it.


On My part, just confirmed that it is happening, that the install I had & the save folder were in fact, brand new install set ups...


So, unless Fubar decides to lay out & let it be known just what they did... only option is... to just shart can the BS mix, & stick with the AS side... as well as the MS side... and wait for the next release... :shucks:

No secret. Just logic. If the Flotilla dates is different, the game most likely will not run. The first place I look is in the Flotilla.cfg files. Most times the issue is in there, as in my current case. Barring that, it is trial and error while attempting to resolved the issue.

I remembered I had included, long ago, a WAW mod for U-flotillas config files so we had a August 1939 start date and other corrections for our needs at the time. It is part of my overlay of a mod ( most are enhancements for my own gratification and eye candy ) NYGM. It never caused an issue as I had used several time, long ago, the NYGM Black Sea Campign, but that was just NYGM 2.5 and no updated files for ships and planes and the like as Fifi has now provided. ( Not sure why WAW file had a November start date. :06: )

I tested Fifi's Black Sea mod before release, with the straight out of the box, current version at the time, of NYGM Enhanced, and it worked just fine. Saves and all. This was done without my NYGM mod overlay. So it is not Fifi's mod that is creating the CTD in my case. :yep:

ALWAYS a fresh clean install from start, also DELETING all your previous saves (deleting your Documents/SH3 folder) and NO OTHER MOD than the ones provided!

I don't know all of this, you are the shaman of the mod here, but I don't understand the manipulation with the dates.. the boats chosen... and the fleets.. as well as the period to start.. something is not working. . I tried several combinations I see the bar is loading then "auf wiedersehen"..
This is the first time that Fifi's work has bothered me...
But I'm sure we'll find...:salute:

Just went through the Flotilla.cfg &... there is no 30th Flotilla... but rather instead, notated "33rd Flotilla"... :doh: :o :06: :hmmm:

If you look at the section above, you will see the progression of the 29th Flotille from Brest, to LaSpazia and finally Toulon.

Added 30th Flotilla to Constanza to play the Black Sea Campaign, replacing 33rd Flotilla. Select ONLY Type IIA submarine in SH3 Commander!! In July 44, request the transfer to the 11th Flotilla and deactivate the mod.

When we start via Commander selection Type2A then the date "In July 44"
in the Flotilla choice game we have the 30th Flotilla Constanza, I choose it on the map of the Flotilla ports.. then it says to request a transfer to the 11th Flotilla but this is refused because it requires a patrol to its credit
then if I deactivate the mod as it says the 33 Flotilla appears in Commander I select it to arrive on the flotilla map but the most 2A types
and departure to Bergen .. so it does not go ...

I think it may be necessary
choose 30th Flotilla via Commander as well as the date "In July 44"
carry out the first test patrol then when you return ask for 11 flotilla then exit the game deactivate the mods I have not tried
here I am fed up for today go to more FUBAR295

Usually I leave harbor at x64 TC, in my tests I even left at x128 (with shift+N) without any issue.

So I give up… I can’t fix something NOT happening :ping:
It only can be a corrupted file in the Mediafire transfer … somewhere …
Be patient and wait for next update, hopefully it has to be better :03:

I don't criticize your choices at all, moreover, I would be unable to do all the work you have done that makes this mod essential... but I don't usually play this campaign... very short...
I absolutely wanted to try seeing that FUBAR295.. Mad Mardigan.. did not start.. I found that surprising especially FUBAR295.. John Pancoast.. know what work "the forum dynos".. So if they do not start it is that's not normal...
Then there is also the fact that there are superb ships. I would like to thank our talented modder Alex.B.. Mister_M.. VonDos.. for these superb creations..
So as it is a different start, it is necessary to notice particular changes... but I did not understand your explanation... to start!!!
I tried to test several starts...nothing to do I looked at the cfg files of flotillas etc. But I'm not experienced enough to understand all of them.. it would take time and I don't have all the time...!!
for the Mediterranean the escorts are too close to the Uboat at the start of Spezia...I recommend letting it take a little distance before leaving and recommend staying on the map for a few moments otherwise CtD...

Good Fifi, I will be waiting for your update with impatience ... and continue your excellent work because the mod is really classy. I would add that this is the first time that there are problems of this type with your work so you are totally forgive then if we don't make mistakes from time to time we don't progress eh..!!!

Started messing around with this, this morning. Still CTD. I reverted back to the previous version (9/14) and it loaded and played like a Stradivarius. My plan is to wait for the next version unless some Earth shattering news for a repair comes out. Fifi, you keep us up-dated frequently. More then we could imagine and we really appreciate it. After all the previous is only 3 weeks old. What the heck. It's all good. :Kaleun_Salute:

The Black Sea issue you were having bothered me really … but I didn’t have this problem as you know… so I completely deleted my game and completely re installed game… and… crashed to desktop when trying BS campaign!!

Founded the issue in 5 minutes :haha:
Solved it in 6 minutes :D
(The problem lied in the LND campaign file)

SO NOW THE BS CAMPAIGN IS WORKING AS IT SHOULD :yeah:

at La Spezia near the escort point I observed debris from barrels as well as figures floating in the area.. there was the arrival of a Uboat which was returning to port then.. I asked for the side camera which did not didn't work anymore!! who walks alone. So during the start I had already solicited him in the port to watch the magnificent ships and it worked flawlessly then to arrive near the escort zone it started to mess around...

Late last night after getting things set up with an AS, a BS & a MS career base mix set up... noted something after starting out in a career in the BS campaign...


Like Kal mentioned there Fifi... previously, side cam views worked fine... with now, for some odd reason, they've gone... bonkers, for the lack of a better term fr it. My side views, started off fine the 1st couple of ships them all of a sudden, the cam was not centered on anything, was bobbing up & down crazily & exiting & trying to go back to side views again, still remained locked up in that crazy up & down an nothing in sight, except fr sea in some cases & somewhere near shore in others, with the cam dipping well beneath land at times.


Dunno if that is also occurring in the MS sector, but... hazarding a guess, from what Kal Bedo said there... it sounds like it.


While leaving base at Costanza (heck, not even sure I'm spelling that ports name right... ugh :doh:) any who, the port for Flot 30... noted a weird thing, was an armed trawler & it was under weigh, the odd thing was while making smoke to get moving... the smoke wasn't coming out of where it should have had it coming from... namely, its smokestack aka funnel... It was instead, exiting out of its wheelhouse.... aka bridge. :o




PatrolArea=WEST :o :doh: :06: :timeout: uhm... just where in the blue bloody blazes is "WEST"... as everything from port is... East. :damn:



Sorry... just trying to figure out just where My patrol area is there, exactly.


At this point, am about ready to just sail east, find some ships & shove some torps into them til they sink. Then head back to base, after 24 hours... & see what the next patrol brings. :shucks:

Other than that, everything else looks great, so far... can't wait to sink some ships. :arrgh!:

I did experience that too, after viewing a patrol boat. All was good until I cycled through a few times (<>). It was my first career and a first patrol from Constanza. Now I'm on my second patrol, 3 and a half hours in my time, and I've cycled (ship views) around a bit and all is good with the camera, so far rite now. I thought it was because I was playing around with the F12 Key and could find my U-Boat. Then It dove under water a few times so I figured if I saved and reloaded it would reset the camera. But no issues to report.

Avalaible in my signature spoiler...

-Black Sea campaign should be ok now :up:

-Added many Baltic harbors (15) and added Baltic traffic.
-Added 2 new ships from talentuous AlexB.
-Re introduced the Baltic steamer i had deleted previously.
-Fixed some U Boat escorts leaving harbors.
-Reduced waves from 0 to 6 knots wind, to avoid harbor ships problems.
-Increased tankers internal fuel loadout (too many had no internal loadout)
-small various adjustments

PS: No saves compatibility! Fresh install recommended!

Just curious as you said you added the two lakers made by Alex B as separate ships instead of overwriting the already existing ones. I see that you renamed the files but you forgot one thing, there's no file in the nations rosters for the newly named lakers so could cause crash if its randomly spawned or may not spawn at all until you make corresponding .cfg files in the roster folders for those two extra ships.

You need to add KSS_laker or something as a .cgf file and put it in the British roster etc for them to appear in the game...my understanding of how it works anyways.
Or is it still using the same class name from the already exisiting KSS in the nations rosters?

Unsure of why, but the issue is with the next/previous cam views... for Me Fifi... the 1st couple of ships I cycle through are fine in viewing them... it begins to go awry, soon after like... the 4th or 5th time of cycling through those views. Matters not if it's going through view using just the next function or the previous cam... the end results the same.


Next I know is, that the cam is then no longer focused on any ship at all... is located only God knows where exactly, just enough to know it's not on a ship. Some changing through the views after that point in the whole thing, is what looks to be open water, other views are near the land/water juncture... all the while, since the next/previous cam view has gone "bonkers", with the cam view doing a weird bob & weave up & down.


So far, am in My very 1st patrol out of Costanza... & yeah, I am in the proper U-boat for that... a Type II-A.... sailed from the base on the 1st of Oct. of '42... believe the date is right on when I left base.


Know that I set it up to start in 10-42, in the 30th flotilla, & that I selected a Type II-A U-boat, through SH3Commander. :yep:


Am in the middle of setting up just a straight up virgin mix, to use as a back stop to test & see if the same happens with starting out a career in the Black sea... as a control group test. The few extras that I use, have nothing to do with the cam, that I can see of, is just sound & texture eye candy things... nothing that impacts .dat, .zon or any of those things... still...


will run the base copy, just to cross verify. :yep:

Okay must have been misunderstanding then because I see them now but they're only present in the Baltic nations rosters (i'm guessing that was on purpose) and not in the British, American, Norway, Greece etc rosters.:hmmm:

Ok, on the Black Sea front... :shucks:


Just finished up, on setting things up with a completely virgin fresh install of it... & can report, that the issues faced by Myself & a few others, on the next/previous cams... was still ran into.


No idea exactly why, just that it is occurring... even with a completely devoid set up of any additional mods.


Factor in, that it was around the 6th or perhaps the 7th, click to go through the next cam view command... that it cropped up. Am thinking that it is probably the same with using the previous cam command, as well. That, is of course, supposition on My part, based on knowing that with the original install set up, that it was after a number of previous cam view command clicks that I 1st noted it Myself.... so not entirely supposition. The only actual guess is on the exact number of command key punches, before it happens.


So, there you have it My friend... at this juncture... I'll turn it over to you, on how to best proceed from there, armed with this info. :shucks:


Can say that the AS campaign is without issue on this. Which does tend to narrow it down... I would think... but, that's just a guess only. As sometimes things turn out not quite so simple... at times. *nods*



I'll take a crack at the Med front & see how things go with it... & test that out. :yep: :shucks: :up:

On starting both that test with the no other mods & the one with the few added eye candy, what is with the missions only saying to patrol "WEST" & Ost... which if memory serves, is East. :hmmm:


With the few added in eye candy career, the 1st patrol I got there, was to patrol "WEST" which heading out from Costanza... one can only head East, then after getting away from base, can head North, South or continue East...


The test bed virgin BS set up... I got the orders to patrol "Ost", with no clear-cut idea where to go... exactly to do that patrol. :hmmm: :doh: :o :06:


Additionally, isn't there like... a pull-down mapping of the BS area, to use... iirc... :hmmm:

I have NOT been able to duplacate this issue again. It's never come back after a restart of career 1/ patrol 1. hope this helps

Did some North Atlantic trials and took a few screen shots. Really nice atmosphere and lighting adds a refreshing change to NYGM. The new ships models look amazing. :o Seemed a pity to sink such beauties.

Getting ready to load up the Mediterranean and Black Sea Campaigns. Do not expect any real issues. Let you know how it goes.

With those careers... starting out in the 1st patrol.... when you set out, did you start off docked or did you short cut it, with starting out to sea, some ways away from base.?


With a "restart' of career 1... do ya mean, dumping a career that was started & starting a fresh career... or starting off in a career from a save with having the issues & that the cams issue, failed to show back up or... what, exactly...:06: :hmmm:

OK, not sure if it was Sunday or Monday of this week, but I started a new career. The first career in a new installment of NYGM Enhanced, that would be with the new version of NYGM Enhanced, released after the Blk Sea CDT issue was fixed. I started at the pier and not too long into the game I was cycling through the ships and my boat for some screen shots, when my camera malfunctioned. Just like what has been described here in several post above. The same exact issue. Now, I was not only messing with the cycling of the ships with the < and > keys, I was also messing with the F12 key too. That's when I ran into the camera issue. I figured I messed something up. I couldn't find my boat and since this career didn't count (my tester career). I exited the game and completely deleted that career from my "Save Game folder" in Documents. Ran CCleaner and restarted my PC. At that point, I set up a new career and ran my first patrol from port (no modding of my boat yet). I cycled (< and >) through the ships in the port of Constanza and my boat many times and at a fast pace too, just to duplicate the issue and actually try to break it again. The "cam" issue hasn't returned, with either that career or with other test careers I started. This morning I decided to kill those test careers off and start a serious career. So far so good. I have cycled on ships in port and on a friendly convoy a few hours out and, all is good. I did see what you guys saw but only once. Hope this helps ... Jerry

Well, I came exactly from NYGM which have Hitman Optics (as an option iirc).
Anyway, care to point me to the your mods optics documentation? I`m not sure how to use it correctly (the wheel thingy, degree/mil marks on peris/UZO, U-Jagd stopwatch etc. ) ? I saw similar things in other mods, but can`t find any proper instructions/documentation. Have any pointers?

On a side note I just finished my first patrol. It was long (> month), and unlucky .April 1942: there were convoys around my AL26 grid but always too far. I have found convoy after 3 weeks, and managed to sink one large merchant. on my return trip i encountered escort carrier with one destroyer (first time ever!), but had only one torpedo and 10% of fuel, darn.Oh, and it was 3 weeks almost constant storm (> 10m/s winds).
After first patrol I can repeat: thanks for sharing your work. :Kaleun_Thumbs_Up:

Have installed your latest DL and I'm glad to tell you the square boxes I was getting at night from the escorts search lights are gone. The search light beams are circular now as they should be...thank you.


Question. When adding/subtracting crew I noticed one of the officers has no qualifications. Should that officer be dismissed and changed out with an officer that does? In an earlier version of your enhanced version when I moved an officer back to his original position (one of three in the centrale) I had a CTD. I have not had a chance to try that again, when I do I'll let you know the result.

I'm going to answer your question Fifi is very busy and he has already answered that...
During your first "weddigen" mission, do not touch the original composition of the crew, add the sailors.. the non-commissioned officers.. is a machinist to complete the missing personnel and do not touch anything else, neither torpedoes nor coats of arms. ..
now if one of the members doesn't have a photo, that's normal too..
when you have passed this step... during the real patrol you can modify what you want...

Well, I came exactly from NYGM which have Hitman Optics (as an option iirc).
Anyway, care to point me to the your mods optics documentation? I`m not sure how to use it correctly (the wheel thingy, degree/mil marks on peris/UZO, U-Jagd stopwatch etc. ) ? I saw similar things in other mods, but can`t find any proper instructions/documentation. Have any pointers?

On a side note I just finished my first patrol. It was long (> month), and unlucky .April 1942: there were convoys around my AL26 grid but always too far. I have found convoy after 3 weeks, and managed to sink one large merchant. on my return trip i encountered escort carrier with one destroyer (first time ever!), but had only one torpedo and 10% of fuel, darn.Oh, and it was 3 weeks almost constant storm (> 10m/s winds).

So please just point out the errors on the existing work.

on "Youtube" you will find tutorials of all the attack method...
On this forum too... make the effort to read and search before asking useless questions... thank you it's not a self service...!!! know that Fifi is not here at the disposal of people in order to make modes on demand you should try to make mods for this game.. then you will better understand the amount of work to be done before getting to that point.. .

OK, not sure if it was Sunday or Monday of this week, but I started a new career. The first career in a new installment of NYGM Enhanced, that would be with the new version of NYGM Enhanced, released after the Blk Sea CDT issue was fixed. I started at the pier and not too long into the game I was cycling through the ships and my boat for some screen shots, when my camera malfunctioned. Just like what has been described here in several post above. The same exact issue. Now, I was not only messing with the cycling of the ships with the < and > keys, I was also messing with the F12 key too. That's when I ran into the camera issue. I figured I messed something up. I couldn't find my boat and since this career didn't count (my tester career). I exited the game and completely deleted that career from my "Save Game folder" in Documents. Ran CCleaner and restarted my PC. At that point, I set up a new career and ran my first patrol from port (no modding of my boat yet). I cycled (< and >) through the ships in the port of Constanza and my boat many times and at a fast pace too, just to duplicate the issue and actually try to break it again. The "cam" issue hasn't returned, with either that career or with other test careers I started. This morning I decided to kill those test careers off and start a serious career. So far so good. I have cycled on ships in port and on a friendly convoy a few hours out and, all is good. I did see what you guys saw but only once. Hope this helps ... Jerry

Hello,

The GUI in Fifi's mod has some elements from Hitman's GUI, the documentation that comes with it will have some of the information you want. The graticules have a vertical scale in miliradians (each division equals 10/16 of a degree) and a horizontal scale in degrees. The mod comes with two authentic charts from a German manual that will help you estimate distance. With regard to the U-Jagd chronometer, it can be used to measure speed using standard procedure but it will save you some math, you can read the speed on the colored line that better corresponds to the ship's length.

Ok guys, so… I’ll keep going with longer times :03:
I have added many random coastal life everywhere (where there was nothing to see before) and deleted all left over Mediterranean & BS units in standalone mod.
It was useless to keep them as we have Mediterranean & BS campaign files only :yep:
Now to run tests & more tests…

Edit: encountered a problem … have to start over again on last good base :timeout:

About loading time, adding 8 new ships gives prohibited loadings… but adding many new random traffic gives zero loading malus !! Quite incredible … I always thought adding new traffic would increase loading times :doh but no, exact same loading time!

Yes indeed, when I was building the Merchant fleet mod for onealex compilation I noticed some ships would double the load time for example and I don't know why but if M31B is present in onealex mod then it doubles the load time from 5 mins to 10 mins, i removed that one ship and all loaded within 5 mins. So you could essentially add a lot of ships without the load time increasing too much if you test each ship out one at a time you'll find a 'bad apple or two' as it were that are better left out to have quicker loading time for the sake of one ship. Most ships though if you add them they don't increase loading time that much at all so i'm suspecting a 'bad apple' ship maybe conflicting with another ship because i found if there's duplicates of a ship it will double load time, it may be already in your mod but named differently.

Just curious Fifi could you send me a link in PM for the ships you plan on adding? maybe I could do some testing too with them and give you more details.

To break it down more succinctly... Do the 1st patrol & make NO changes, whatsoever. After completing that patrol... you are then, free & clear to dink about with changes.

Firi, for me loading times aren`t problem.They also add a little to immersion as they add to "hardcoreness" by discourage player to reload when somenthing went wrong.

after loading my save twice the camera works again...

Not really. I was in testing things out and wanted to see if I had the issue and I did. Fifi has said he has the camera fixed for next release, I can wait. :yep: It is not a feature I use a lot anyway. When I play, I generally stay on the map, bridge, Uboat interior, or the periscope views. :) It does come in handy for screen shots.:up:

I noticed that the emblems have a light grey box around them on Type VII's. Sorry the picture is not better ;

It's not the emblems as it works fine on the Type II's.

I think tomorrow next update will be online, everything is running smooth as Swiss clock :up:

- Camera bug is fixed
- Added plenty new random coastal traffic everywhere (along America north & south, Africa, Spain, France, Norway, Baltic, Azoren islands & Cape Verde islands etc), where there was nothing before.
- Added coastal defenses where they were missing
- slightly increase overcast (& overcast rainy) night vision, so now we can barely see something … not plain black as before.
- Reduced the moon size to more accurate value.
- Loading times are finally around the same as before, maybe just slightly increased (didn’t added the new ships on pictures above yet)

I confirm what FUBAR295 tells you about the emblems..
I did not look with s3d at first I thought it came from my skins... that's why during the tests nothing was touched, all are original...
I'm glad you reduced the moon, I too thought it was a big one...
once again the program of your update that promises...
Fifi is really top notch...this mod is one of the best...

I checked the current .DAT file but could not really see anything amiss regarding the emblems on the tower, when comparing it to other versions. :timeout: My eyes aren't the greatest anymore, so it is possible I miss something. :doh:

I have just tested Atlantic I immediately noticed that the sky was not the same as well as the night... frankly Fifi I prefer the other, we have a better impression of volume.. the night is more realistic in the other, it forces us to follow the convoy until dawn or in the morning which is a plus. Or even attack from very close, which can be difficult depending on the conditions.
for the slightly longer loading times all at least for me 9 to 10 minutes to tell you that I really don't mind given the content of this mod
stability and very good Fps 40 to more than 50 sometimes and that in the port... very good NKL... The cameras work flawlessly.. the moon is not bad.. I would give it 15% to 20% more ...but you're the boss so the decision is yours...

I tested Mediterranean Sea..
Same for the sky same thing as well as the night
Impeccable camera... gently in the port with the acceleration of time because otherwise Ctd..
Fps very good like 40 to more..NKL
loading time slightly increase 6 to 7 minutes ditto it does not bother me ...

there will be no black sea.. I kept the old version to see the difference in weather... since you are releasing a new update tomorrow..
new "installfesh" obliges..

here Fifi it will all be I would wait for the new sky willingly because this one lacks volume and contrast really we lose this magic that there was in the other... but you are the boss so... I do not criticize but personally I prefer the other..!!!

Env Skyes have been changed for better night visibility when overcast (slightly)

If you don't like it, you can activate the Alternative Previous Env Dark Nights addon mod. It will restore previous Env Skyes...(as per Kal request)
Perso, i prefer the new Env Skies...when overcast we can at least see where is U Boat bow :03:

Also i have added Russian & Romania air bases still missing in NYGM (mainly for BS campaign)
Few others adjustments too.

I think this last update will be the one for a good moment …

then it's difficult to assess so quickly.. it depends on the weather but I didn't have the same impression that's for sure... I saw FUBAR295 talk to you about types 2 I too would tell you via PM but as they say the others rest because you really deserve it, we'll see later for the last adjustments...
I thank you for having taken my remarks into account as well as for the wonderful work you have done on this mode which at the start was to remain personal but which will be essential in my eyes here..

Atlantic no problem quite a bit the sky the rear plane softer if I may say so but I haven't tried enough yet...
Mediterranean lost camera again. Otherwise to start I'm at the beginning let's see if after more backup loading all come back like the other time...

but what I find strange is that I watched almost all the other ones before..
for the Black Sea nothing to do..start the 10/42 choice 30th fleets via "Commander" then in the games via fleet choice panels...
then in the panel of the transfers I look.. I am always in the first fleet. It does not go well.!!! Then if I start he sends me to Brest...
to arrive in the game I am in Africa...
I do not understand anything. I would have tried the previous version.. but I don't have it anymore... plus I have three installs, that's enough.. because I don't just have these mods there and it's starting to monopolize too much space.. .
here, let's see if the others have these problems, that will be all for tonight

I've only played a Black Sea patrol so far with the newest version (Oct 12). A min or so after pulling away from the dock, I did a Camera Test (<,>) still in port and lost the camera. That's the first time in a few days for me. I "Saved Game", which I know you're NOT supposed to do, but what the heck. I reloaded that save, just fine and recycled (<,>) again. All has been good so far. To me the Camera glitch is a minor issue that only pops up on my 1st patrol, before my 1st save and close to port. That how I see it. After that, I can't reproduce it. This is not a game changer to me and will work itself eventually. Like I said all is good after the reload. Jerry

No issue at all here, all campaigns (Atlantic, Mediterranean, Black Sea) are loading fine at whatever dates.

Only the next/previous unit camera is buggy WHEN CLOSE TO HARBORS (where there are too many units)
When in high seas, the bug seems gone :yep:
Can’t find why so far…
SO BEST IS TO NOT USE THE NEXT/PREVIOUS UNIT CAMERA WHEN CLOSE TO HARBORS, USE IT ONLY WHEN IN HIGH SEAS.

Hope you can live with it for the moment, I’m afraid.

I'm going to redownload the update, maybe a file error... because that day several things were in action.. so let's see I'm putting everything back together.. because if Jerry manages to make it work as well as you Fifi..c is at my house which has problems..!! for the camera know that yesterday it came back after two backups. Afterwards I can live without the free view being my favorite for screens.. I would say that it is more a technical aspect which can confuse the uninitiated..
for 2 days I've been like Mad Mardigan my old carcass makes me suffer... again I'll see if I manage to do everything today...

- Fixed the Tramp Steamer conflicting with others
- Deleted the KSQ_Laker badly conflicting with others (choosed the easy way by deleting - we still have other Laker)
- Added British & Russian submarines also included in campaign files
- Type II capt bed is now on correct position (thanks to FUBAR256 !)

Maybe its the water reflections that you added in the .dat files for the MFM ships because I don't have that issue using the original MFM ship files.

Been playing a Black Sea patrol for about 6 hours. I tested and cycled through the ships in Constanza several times from 5km's out of port and did NOT have any issues. All was good here. Now like a good sailor, I'm headed up to the local watering hole in my neighborhood. Great job Fifi ! Oh and this was the latest version from October 14, 2022

I will compare a stock MFM ship to mine… but water reflection should be ship reflection on the water only… not light reflection on the ship :hmmm:

Furthermore, the light is enforced by my NYGM environment global light (hence the effect more noticeable)

I have revised all ships tgas, and have harmonized all of them to NYGM standards (mainly for NYGM environment).
No more hulls shining in night time :up:
I have also adjusted some … and by deleting a useless embedded tga (replaced by only one in texture folder) for all MFM ships, I gained lot of weight.

This next update will not require a new career. Only to be in bunker for installation :yep:
