Besides many interior textures wich are also affected by SteelViking's mod, Conus' mod enhances the following items:
Damage and torpedo management interface
Torpedo settings interface
Various UI dials
Stopwatch
Radio messages interface
Captain awards
National flags
Crew uniforms
etc.
This guy is a genius. Pity that he is no longer an active member :yep:

You can trust me SSteel, though being "just another" gfx addition for SH5, Conus' mod should have deserved better popularity than it actually had, and it adds to the "old times" feeling of MaGui. Give it a try yourself :03:

First I want to thank DrJones and his team for their fantastic job. I'm really impressed of the wonderful things human beings can create. Thank you so much!
Please let me ask you a question about snorkeling. When trying to extend these, I always get the message "snorkel unavailable". Is this a bug or its a handling error by my self? Can anybody give me a tip?
Besides - Magui Interface V3.01 - I have enabled the mods of TDW (v1.1.0
TDW Add-on). Speaks anything against it?

because SDBSM changes sound scripts for altered/altered timing/additional sounds regarding diving/surfacing operations, if you have them after SDBSM you would destroy those things...
...i wonder if it would be nessesary investing time creating a readme or documentation, because it seams nobody is reading it.

In my first list i activated your mods after them, but don't remember why in last list i did the inverse :oops:...anyway, didn't noticed anything bad, so that's why i was asking :)

After I finished the Baltic Mission, I sailed all the way back to port. Once there it asks if I want to continue the patrol, or end it. Being finished I of course end the patrol. So far so good.
I find myself back in the bunker, I go to the weapons officer to see if I caN upgrade my sub.
He asks how I'm doing (or something), but the options do not appear.
I go to the other officer to ask for a new patrol, but the same thing happens. No option to ask for orders, or start a new patrol. He only greets me.
So now I'm stuck in the bunker with nothing to do.:huh:

when u end a patrol and u are in bunker save the game and exit to main menu and the load the saved game ....and go again to the officer and will work

CSP MAGUI interface tutorial will release tomorrow and i will try to upload here on the download section or i will ask a moderator to upload the PDF file for me :)
the tutorial will be in 4 language first will in English than other 3 language.

just saw, that the io strategic map hasent been updated for magui v3.1.
Tried to contact oberlix but got no Response from him so i will release a patch with the additions ans changes for magui v3.1.
Without the changes it is not possible to Change the map Options in the nav map.

I downloaded the tutorial, and when i opened it up all i could see was a bunch of jibberish like it was in computer code. I tried 3 times to do this with the same results everytime. Would it be possible to post some readable directions on how to use the torpedo aspect of this program. thanks!

I do have a question though. How do find my depth under keel? I clicked on the navigator tab on the bottom right side and then clicked on reports, then clicked on depth under keel button. It makes the active ping noise but my navigator doesn't tell me anything and my message board doesn't say anything either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.:hmmm:

How about some directions for those of us that DON'T use manual targeting! Nothing works when trying to fire a torpedo at a damn ship!!!!! This is very frustrating!!:/\\!!:/\\!!:/\\!!

Ok I finally figured out that if your not using manual targeting like me, then when you have a target in your crosshairs you have to click on the lock button 3 times in order to properly target a ship with a torpedo. This is only for non manual targeting guys! I know that a lot of you guys prefer to use manual targeting but there are some of us that don't. Please don't think too harshly of us beginners, we all share a love for this simulation, just in different degree's.:hmmm:
Firing Torpedos is always possible....you have to flood and open the tubes before....have a look in the last entries in this threat about that topic

OK i understand what you mean...the old xo Dialog will come back in sight in the next patch i will release...one reason for that is that tdw was able to fix the stadimeter by his patches...:up:
In this one it is possible to Switch off the tdc so the solution Comes up when you aim a target without lock on.
May be in the future the brocken order wp_solution_to_target may be fixed

I'm totally lost after this latest reinstall that was caused by some weird error with endless CTDs. Never before I've ended up in something like this after a reinstall.
As suggested I've done this;
1 - Uninstalled SH5 and JSGME
2 - Scanned the register with CCleaner for leftovers
3 - Deleted the 'C:\Ubisoft' and 'C:\Users\Documents\SH5' folders
4 - Rebooted
5 - Installed SH5 again. New folder in another place
6 - Patched to 1.2.0
7 - Launched SH5. Everything runs fine
8 - Installed JSGME (new DL)
9 - Downloaded a new copy of 'Parts Magui V 3.01 by DrJones'. Extracted with 7-Zip
10 - Activated v3.01 alone it with JSGME
11 - Launched SH5
12 - Back where I started from...
... just like in my post 1038 above :/\\!!
Is this a sign that I'd better give up on SH5 or could anyone around here share a phone No to some good psychologist?

As for deleting a program on your computer, you'll find all the C++ installed on your PC in same window: Start/config panel/uninstall program ---> in the list :up:

I've seen similar picture with the NewUIs when its Page Default Hud and its Page layout were corrupted (for whatever undetermined reason)..

Even sometime i have to reinstall fresh JSGME...with fresh mods.
For some reason, after activating/deactivating many times mod list, get strange game render or glitches :yep:
Look like some files weren't activated, or not properly.
So many mods, so many files mixed together!
Clean reinstall and clean unzipped mods can solve many issues imo.

When it comes to corrupt JSGME issues I've quite a few times used Webster's 'How to Fix Mod Soup Issues' (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=1228828&postcount=1) and it has helped me out before.

When it comes to corrupt JSGME issues I've quite a few times used Webster's 'How to Fix Mod Soup Issues' (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=1228828&postcount=1) and it has helped me out before.

Aaaah yes, didn't think of the browser. Usually I use Firefox and quite often clean all cache with one of those addons.

Finally found the bad one that messed the graphics up - a corrupt GPU driver...
Never ever before I've had something like this.
Could be useful to know that the latest nVidia driver 320.18 seems to be anything but reliable. :nope:
At least for me and my my GPU Geforce GTX 770

i have still implemented sounds when flooding and opening the tubes.
There is also now a time delay bevor you can open the tubes if you just flooded them. The same thing is for closing the tubes and unflood the tubes.
In the next patch there will be a new arranged view for the attack and Observation Scope and the UZO.
The tube selection in the uper area in the views are banned. The Tube Selection is now working by the TLampenTafel by Gap.
Adding a further section for the Captains Panel. There you are able to set some game Options like travelmode. The Visibilty of the XO Dialog and the ability to activate the Option to deactivate the tdc to get an automatic solution to target.
There will bo also some corrections and some, how "trevally" like to say, blibs and blobs:03:

If you have enabled all the torpedo patches in the Generic Patcher by TDW you should install Generic Patcher torpedo add-on mod located in the Patcher's archive in the folder MODS..

i know what you mean...but the Problem is, that i was not able the bring the lamp blinking while Loading.
in the script there is a bool member...when it is true tube is loading and i tried to let the lamp to blink, but it wont work as i wanted to, so i choosed the way i did it now....i think we should live with it until i find a way to to like that...

the teleport Shortcutbar is a slide in object and will stay were it is. I wont make it draggable.
The Recognition Manual i use is made out of parts from the stock game. It did not use any part of his recognition Manual.
I think about something like a ship Journal...this will come some times later...

In all three views you find the mouse in Area to slide in the TLampentafel in the same place. As you see in the Picture the TLampenTafel can be fixed on Screen.

I have installed a time delay between flooding and opening the tubes.

Release may come this evening or tomorrow.

1. How Do you enter the Station? Are you going to each of them and click on them or are you using the teleport bar?
2. Please tell me if there are any differences if you leave them by using escape or the "x" Button.
3. Try the following...activate each Station by using the teleport Buttons...1. Attack Scope...2. Observationscope 3. Uzo...then enter each Station again and tell me if the error apears again....
i may have an idea why this happens...as we know there is a bug that the scripts of the stations still not initialize completly the first time you visit them...
I am Still looking how this bug can be overrun.

I already told TDW, his last version doesn't want to work properly on WinXP, more precisely with the .NET Framework 2.0..
I think here is the same issue..

I already told TDW, his last version doesn't want to work properly on WinXP, more precisely with the .NET Framework 2.0..
I think here is the same issue..

Thank you...it is very important to know for me....i am a win7 user....i tried everything to reproduce the error with the scopes and dials that appear..but for half an hour I ran through the boat...entered manually the stations and per Teleport...left tham by esc and the "x" button...again and again...
but..i use a complete fresh Installation from sh5 because i toggled to much arround with a lot of mods in the past....do you use a new fresh Installation???
But...i was able to reproduce the 2nd error....there are still some things i will try and fix it...
of course the same for the first error...
A Question to the whole audiance....please tell me if you have the same Problem...

heya i don't have any errors with my magui mod list ....
1 time i had when i press the dock botton but now no errors... and when i teleport myself for the first time too tdc that tdc dail will stay on screen but ill remove it pressing again the navmap and and it's gone :)

I'm right now doing my 6th reinstall since I first started trying to get the Parts Magui 3.01 to run properly.
The issues I've had I already posted - you know, the crew standing with arms spread out... :o
Even if I deactivate the Parts Magui the crew remains standing there. The only way to get out of this is to do a reinstall. At least what I've found so far.
Another funny thing that might be a problem is that every time I reinstall the program tells me that my GPU driver is outdated...
It's not! It's the latest nVidia driver for my GeForce GTX 690. I'm lost here - I have tried with other, older drivers but the outcome is the same. The crew simply remains standing there
Could anyone recommend a reliable nVidia driver, please?
Each time SH5 is reinstalled I patch it and do a test run. Always OK.

last night i was able to reproduce the error you had in the 2nd shot...i made some changes in the script and now there are no Errors if you go back to the main menu...loading the game again...did this several times:up:...after that i was able to quit the game without any Errors and exception....that for this one.
That the dials still stand after leaving the scopes also apearts to me after several test to get them...i will have a look at the code..

I've had very weird problems happen with drivers, mods and the vanilla stock version now and then. Sounds like your new install has some driver file errors on the harddrive or registry errors dealing with nVidia driver for my GeForce GTX 690.
The following suggestions, which are similar to what I have done below, has solved driver or mod soup or vanilla CTD issues for me when I have felt like screaming or pulling my teeth.:hmmm::/\\!!:rotfl2:
In your case, maybe there are some registry errors for SH5, or GeForce GTX 690. Delete registry data about nVidia driver for GeForce GTX 690. Repatched to game version 1.2? After uninstalling the game and clearing registry of suggestion made above, have you completed shutdown computer, then started computer? Registry is not totally reset then if doing a reinstall during same session or even a restart. Hard drive platters need to totally stop moving. Driver Sweeper (freeware or shareware) works for clearing up old driver issues. Old version still works for me, newer version with another company buyout is available now at price.
Most subsimmers, including me, have installed to a folder other than c:\program files(x86) due to administrative issues. Before reinstalling the game, have you made sure there is no sh5 files left in previous install folder? If leftover files are newer versions from old install, SH5 will not overwrite these versions with the new reinstall.
Some subsimmers were having a wake issue with Nvidia cards, too, and CTD happened. Sober wrote about this somewhere in the last 2 weeks.
Disable all JSGME mods, make sure nothing is left in the mods\!backup or mods\!log folders

I am struck by such statements!
In the case of sh5 ubisoft and it sounds ridiculous and unfair! :-?
How can claim to have been done by proxy?
Ubisoft threw a crude product market, full of errors and omissions. Simply put - very low-quality product that does not meet the stated advertising. Moreover - ubisoft refused to support the product and stubbornly unwilling to correct its own deficiencies. But getting paid for this alpha version they do not give up and never give up! Ubisoft does not want to fix bugs but the game continues to get paid for it. Modders have thrown all their energies to eliminate errors. If after that ubisoft claim to modders products and more - will try to capitalize on this money - that's where it will be the highest injustice!
What kind of rights in this case is all about? Issue as some made product and receive dividends from a grant work by modders?:O: No doubt about it - very clever!:know: We say - "insolence - the second happiness!"
Suppose first that ubisoft will make a quality product, and then demanding money and the right to food modders!:O:

I've just now cleared all registry data on the nVidia driver and will now go on with next reinstall...
First thing after a reinstall I always patch (weird though that sometimes during the install the program tells me that it's patching... but when I enter the main menu SH5 isn't patched... :o
so, I usually patch using the C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\Support\GameUpdater\gu.exe)
You're right - I've forgotten to reboot after uninstall... :oops:
I always make sure the C:\Users\Documents\SH5 folder is deleted as well as the C:\Ubisoft folder before sweeping the drive (CCleaner)
I'll follow your advice and install to another, new folder.
Then launch SH5 for a test run before installing JSGME and check - then install JSGME and load Parts Magui 3.01
Just wanna mention it again, can't be told too many times - Webster's 'How to Fix Mod Soup Issues' (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=1228828&postcount=1) has proven to be reliable in many cases (even if it wasn't the answer to the question in my current case)
Could be useful for other mates around to know before going ballistic.

1. give me the sounds in the normal volume...youo made them so loud that they are scatching a Little bit...i can controll the volume by code
2. the problerm volodya61 is in Clearing
the Problem of the exception ending the game also came to me..but not in the full Screen Resolution 1920* 1080 while testing the game in 1600 * 900 i got it two times as i am working on this mod....
3. the outer chamber will be deactivated in the next relaese...

If i understand you right....you click on the smal toggle Switch in the tdc to Switch between single and salvo shot....and the salvo tbe Control does not get available???? could not be....ist running for me...please make a screenshot and Show me please...

the TDC it's made by naights and allowed me to adapt it for this interface ... DrJone will add this one in the next patch

that's happent to me too...about the XO officer when u check it in the captain panels and u lock the target must pop-up...when is unchecked then doesnt pop-up ... but i don't use it

This button will work in the future...thinking about to collect every radiomessage in a separate file Display them here....please use the stock captainslog

The Nav Map Options and TAI Map Options now to be found in the Captains Panel clicking on the face in the menuorder bar.
There are two big arrows click on them...you'll be be toggled between Charts, Tai Map Options, Nav Map Options and game Options. In the Game Options you can toggle the travel mode and the xo Dialog in scope views

i wanted to leave the console visible when suborders are visible...but no think about to build in a time delay if suborders are open...if not the console disapears direktly

I tried to use your UI several times since it was released and every time after the update..
Each time I have the same issues.. I see that picture every time after leaving any station, no matter what I use to leave the station Esc or x button on the left hand bar -

I am waiting for my US DVD hard copy. My dl'ed copy from Uplay would not run after I tried updating manually to 1.2 version.
I have been watching TEC's tutorials. After I fully understand them I prepare an outline of the lesson for reference during practice. I have completed the Hydrophone lesson and I am now working on the RAOFB with manual TDC. I would like to post pdf copies for others to review and comment on for improvements for use by us new to the game.
I do have a question(s):
TEC used NEWUIs6.4.0... will NEWUIs 7.4.2 work?
The tutorials are all old and reference older versions... cn I use the newest the newest version of a mod without fear of ctd.?
I look forward to starting practicing when I receive my hard copy of SH5.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I posted my own "intended" list of mods in these forums.... but I keep coming across new ones .... incredible talent here

I tried to put the mod before patch for 19/9 without result...
I opened the binocular dds, and the pict size is 1024x768 (so it's 4/3).
I resized the dds to 1920x1080 (16/9) without result.
So i'm guessing there is parameter to change in the page binocular file, but wich one exactly? :06:
My screen reso is 2560x1440...

that is not a bug. The image grows wir the screen resolution to keep the true dimension of the picture. The image is otherwise very distorted.

Even if they look a bit like Torx, developed in the 1960's, they have too many points.
The Torx has 6 tips but this one with 8 tips I've never seen before. :hmm2:

After loading the Mods with JSGME v2.3.1.132 I tried to start SH5Schiffe.exe, but my 64Bit-Win7 tells me, SH5Schiffe.exe crashed.

Hey Mates,
update in the first post.
Patch 3.02 released...still tried here to correct some Errors.
- RAOBF now resizing with the Screen resolutions
- hope i fixed the error with the tdc dials wich wont disapear
- hope i fixed the error exiting the game (Switch off the debugger if it apears. Still looking why it apears sometimes)
- menu.txt is corrected now. Please correct the existing language packages. I will release them in the first post.
- fixed the broken Switch to toggle between single and salvo shot.
- integrated a first test to automations. It can be found in the captains Panel in the game Options. activted it will make a dive to 12 meters after 2 or three hours and makes a sweep for 5 minutes and Comes up again. You have to be under deck to let it work.
it is brute force. Please give feedback
The RPM Charts can be found in an additonal mod.
I wanted to left it as a stand alone mod before it is not tested by all and i wanted it as an Option for those who want it.

I agree, if you don't mind a suggestion, when you change something in a mod or in a patch of yours, always change version number in order to mark the difference with the previous version :know:

Shooting Torpedos is possible if the tubes are alle openend and flodded....
have a look at sjizzles tutorials...

about the automation:
for first automation it's ok but there is some problem ...
1. doesnt reset ( i mean when u unchek and activate it again still remain ( diving and the time count )
2. doesnt surface the boat
3. u can add a zig - zag search at 30m depth

4. remove that "go to game" when the travel and search option is not checked

Laufzeit = Simultaneous hits slide ruler it's to long and i don't fine a better translation :/\\!! or run-time slide ruler

:/\\!!just found the error...ok...what i will improve here is an own Dialog where you can set the time until the next sweep the depth and the sweeping time...to create a zig zag course is a good idea....a zig zag course along the main course:hmmm:...that sounds good:up: i will have a look on that...

DrJones, don't change the original mod's name please, because there are not only menu.txt in this folder/mod..
