I will use it for sure once it's released. Just asking: Is there any chance to have it availiable for the IXD2? It would be a shame not have it for that sub.

Bei diesen neuen Turm wurde die Lange Antenne verkleinert die dazu führte das man schneller entdeckt worden ist, und somit gleich beschossen wurde.

Zusätzlich wurde der Tankrüssel Integriert und offen gelegt
( Nun könnt ihr auch mahl Tanken gehen )

Das ABGAS-ROHR wurde nach oben gehoben.
Dieser Turm entspricht den ersten Versionen die gebaut wurden.
Auch die Greifzange für den Schnorchel wurde verkleinert
"
Der Rettungsring wurde erweitert, Neu Texturiert so dass es jetzt leichter ist, ihn zu bemalen und ihn einen Akzent zu geben - nach eigenem ermessen.
"
MG,s wurden demontiert so wie auch die Munitions-Kisten.
"
Die Positionslichter wurden nach vorne verdeckt.


Das war der erste Streich, der nächste folgt zu gleich!!

With some testing I might be able to rename the decks and hull to work exclusive with your newer model and then import them into the DAT file? Example of names NSS_Uboat7c41_deck and NSS_Uboat7c41_hull.

If I the high-resolution pictures in the DAT pack, some will have one weaker PC than AMD4000 and 2000RAM problems with the loading time have.

Now If we give a new name to the Skins, it is not to be exchanged any more possibly the Tower,

that is
VIIC Coning Tower - VIIc / 41 Hull
or
VIIc / 41Tower to VIIC_Hull.

Maybe we should think for the not experienced GAMER.

On this side all it perfect. You can see the red light with the model pieces perfectly attached.

From a different angle you can see 2 small angled metal plate partly covering the green light. There angle isn't right?
This isn't a tga problem buddy. I'm religious to details my friend.;)

Hallo Leute !!
Wir suchen jemanden der sich mit Wasserparticel auskennt, am besten in 3D-Max.
Und wenn er sich nicht auskennt, hat er jetzt die Möglichkeit es zu lernen.
Es gibt immer ein erstes mahl.
Was wir wollen ist mit einem Wasserfall vergleichbar (TIP)

Die Mission ist!
Bei auftauchen des U-Bootes sollte Wasser austreten.
Wie bei SH IV ,
und wem das zu leicht ist, sollte das U-Boot bei einem Neigungswinkel
Wasser aus den Löchern die ich gerade mache verlieren.


Vielleicht kann ich etwas dazu beitragen.
Also ich denke einen AVI. Animation in Dat Speichern (Umwandeln)
Dann hätten wir das Perfekte U-Boot in der Sim.

We search somebody itself with Waterparticel knows a lot,

1. statt steigendem Rauch fallenden
2. Einfügen einer Textur für Spritzwasser

Sehr viele relevante Umgebungsvariablen sind dort schon berücksichtigt wie:

Geschwindigkeit und Richtung des Bootes
Windgeschwindigkeit und Windrichtung
Boot getaucht usw.

Währe schön wenn ich eine Blaupause oder Zeichnung hätte um ein genaues Verhältnis zu haben.

If Tommi's U-boat is designed for GWX, then it will certainly have a different model. For example, at very low speed, the U-boat will tend to rise to the surface during a periscope attack, instead of tending to slide down as in NYGM. The damage models will almost certainly be different too. The visibility of he U-boat to radar, hydrophones and asdic will probably differ. Numerous small items, which collectively make quite a large playing difference.

I wonder if Tommi himself is aware of what needs to be done to meet the GWX model?

What I meant, but failed to explain clearly enough, is that the majority of all the new models are always focused on GWX, I didn't mean to complain in any way about the way NYGM is......the remark that "NYGM desperately needs etc. " was stupid, I can see that now and I take it back.

But I just wondered what would happen if a model made for GWX was installed in NYGM? Daft question perhaps, but is the difference really that big?

Last, however, nicely from you if you me there could support around this to optimise. I think you will have to ask one of the GWX modders for assistance here, since you are building a GWX-compatible boat.

Tomi - your pictures. Yesterday my Broadband connection failed, and it was necessary to read this thread on a telephone connection. Your pictures are much too large for easy downloading! Can you make future pictures smaller, please? Some persons have to use the telephone connection every day, in order to read SubSim. (Other people, please note too.)

Yeah exactly! That's what I thought too :up: Tomi's models look so real and the thought of a IXD2 (my favourite boat) made in the same detail simply makes me drewl hehe.

By the way Stiebler, sorry if I use this thread for something that wasn't intented, but would it be possible perhaps to make the Indian ocean as trafficated as it is in the GWX campaign? I don't have much experience with modding, but is it possible to actually copy the trafic from one campaign file to the other for example?

Hi there, fantastic work!! its great to see the models improving. this is somthing that hasnt really been done a great deal before (on the u-boats atleast)
is the boat still hollow as you showed in your post "first optic test" i guess you are using 3ds max. have you tried adding a shell modifier? this would add the "thickness" of the hull you could delete your inner extrusion polys and allow the shell modifier to do the rest, it would make the drain holes the same depth as the hulls thickness.
sorry if this does not come accross clearly or you have already tried this / do not think it is a good idea.

What magnifique work ! I guess this new boat will be much more stable in sea, much more in real condition. Perhaps time for dive will be increase ? I always thought the sub had a comportement at sea too much " light ".
About the holes in the hull: it must have closed behind for some, no ?

And for some other open (like on this picture where we can see the wall
through the holes). but it's perhaps impossible to do.

Tried the VIIC turm in GWX 2.0 and it worked fine as far as I could see. The only thing I noticed was the even more rising buoyancy when the boat is at 0 knot at PD (as in GWX 1.03).

Nice work! Maybe we're even neighbours here in Munich.

Some of those renders would make very nice desktop backgrounds. For example the fourth one from this post: the 'frontal view' in front of the 'Spantenplan'. Or the one with the Buchheim perspective, even though one would like to see more of the boat there. Or the one with the pressure hull form a later post.
So in case you ever get bored: blow one of these up to a decent size (1680x1050?).And maybe you could even send it in to the 'SubSim Wallpaper Contest'.

But whatever the outcome, good luck with your work!

Es ist eine vollkommen überarbeitete hülle .
Die etwas minimal länger ist ( nach Bluprint )
Die Ruder position wurde korrigiert ( vorne )
Der Schnorchel richtig gestellt.
Man kann die Alte ( Orginal Spiel ) nach wie vor benutzen, und die neue mit den Mod enabler (JSGME ) benützen .
Mann kann nur nicht meine Mods mit diesen benützen.
Da die Schnorchelposition ( Anschluss ) nicht mehr passt.
Aber es kommt ein neuer Turm mit der Neuen Hülle ,also ein neues Boot
.
Die Skins Passen minimal nicht mehr überein da die Position nicht mehr übereinstimmen.
Wie gesagt minimale Abweichung .



It is a completely revised one wraps.
Is longer a little bit minimally (to Bluprint) the oars position the snorkel was rectified corrected (in front).
One can use the old Version (Orginal play) after still, and use new with the Mod enabler (JSGME).
Man can use only not my Mods with these. Because the snorkel position (connection) does not fit any more.
But a new tower with the new hull comes, so a new boat
.

The Skins fitting minimally any more there the position no more do not agree. As said minimum divergence.

Second of all... everybody knows Thomsen, a lazy drunk kaleun... thats me! :rotfl:

So fill me in...
1) Is this high-polygon uboat a type VIID or VIIC?
2) Is it playable?
3) Is it done already for download?
4) The type VIID can launch mines?
5) Is there especific missions in the campaign to deploy mines?
6) This high-polygon wont decrease substantially the frame rate?
7) All conning towers can fit this high-polygon u-boat?
8) Are you planning on doing this with type IX u-boats? I love them!
9) Which program are you using for this modelling? Looks like a CAD... (you can PM this answer)

Ich denke das das fragen für die Allgemeinheit sind , also können wir es hier veröffentlichen.

1). Nein es ist kein high-polygon mod , ich habe nur die stellen ausgefüllt wo zu wenige polys waren .
2). Es ist ein Spielbares Modell das im Moment über den Mod-enabler gespielt wird.
Und es wird mir der neuen GWX 2.0 Version kompatibel sein.
3).Zu Downloaden wird es über meine Server der auf der ersten Seite dieser Homepage zu finden ist , allerdings ist dieser Server meist dann aktiv wenn ich zu Hause weile.
Ein alternativen Server bietet mein Freund Wolfehanter an der auch hier zu finden ist.
4).So ist es , die VIID sollte Mienen legen die bei Berührung explodieren sollen .
Meine vorstellung ist , da wir ja die Funktion Bold haben und wir 13 Bolds am U-Boot haben.
Soll diese funktion für die Minen übernommen werden . So werden anstat Bolds -13 minen das U-Boot verlassen. Wie ich die Minen an die Oberfläche bewegen sollte, und Sie zu explodieren bringen soll, weis ich noch nicht.
Bei dieser Gelegenheit möchte ich meine Kollegen , Daving Dack , Wolfehanter , Racerboy
Für Unterstützung bitten, denn hier brauche ich all dieser Kollegen ihr Wissen und ihre Erfahrung.
In Moment habe ich den Part mit den Minen – Wolfehunter – überlassen weil ich selber mit der Hülle und den neuen Aussehen der VIIc/41, VIIC, VIIF, und VIID beschäftigt bin.

5.)Hier kann man bestimmt viel machen, und ich glaube Chief of the Boat macht sich da auch seine gedanken .
6.) meine Absicht ist es die Frame rate um 30% zu erhöhen und das Spiel müsste das aushalten.
7.) /( 8.) Wenn es die Zeit erlaubt und meine Kollegen zu mir halten und ich von euch Unterstützung bekomme , werden wir es schaffen .
Alleine ist ein Tropfen gegen die Welle.

A word about the frame rate: if open holes is complicated for low computer, a light version with black (closed) holes will be perhaps welcome. At least, the important point is the exterior look of the sub.

I haven't seen any of tomi's mods make any FPS hit on my 5 year old system.

Intel D865PERLX mb, 2meg OCZ PC3200 titanium dualchannel ram, XFX GF7600GT 256megs agp, X-Fi elite pro soundblaster. Running Vista ultima.
Your more likely to crash your system in harbour from the amount of details than your Modded Uboat from tomi.

Here tomi came up with a possible solution to make mines work for VIID mod he's developing. Using one of the Bolt options in upgrading your U-boat we could change some of the details to make it launch mines instead of Bolts. I was figuring using Bolt 5 since its near the end of the war we could convert it to deploy mines. Tomi has a interesting theory on it. We could change the starting dates to make it usable as soon as VIID is in play.

Yes, but... all his models work with all conning towers reguarding to U-boat type 7's. To see his custom VIIC look you need to use VII/3 upgrade to take advantage of his amazing look. If you still having trouble check out my skin of U-99 below my subsim link. I have made the same skin work for all avaible type 7's including tomi's. There is some pics to show comparisons.

Keep supporting tomi's work and be patient. Good thing come to those who wait. He's one person where Ubisoft had a team of people.

my guess would be that it would have some impact on the game performance.
i think most pc's should be able to handle this ok
in the end it all comes down to the poly count and detail vs performance.
do you have a poly count on the boat so far tomi? this would be usefull

I have to understand a little problems this PM!!

So if it is about Skins, some small changes are carried out. This skin with I in moment works is standartskin.
If it around models goes there, will be a Low Mod with only detailed water expiry holes give, and one for High Performer.

For all Boots Rescan, I think it is a Great Yob with most time for correct all Boats.
I don’t have, - if I have match Time.
So we will see forward.

Ich denke das man einen leichten farblichen Übergang von Schwarzen ins dunkelgraue macht um bei einer nahen Ansicht an das Objekt einen Tiefeneindruck bekommt, und bei sich entfernender Ansicht zu Schwarz wird.

Of these covers Low .Mod of the variation VIIc41 this week finishes.
To continue the work tiling with the High Mod I need your support.
Maybe one would be able to do the
Mod with VERSION GWX 2.1 Update Build Underway of Kpt. Lehmann unite.

Die Mission ist, ich habe das fordere Ruder nach vorne gesetzt und die Propellerwelle müsste man etwas breiter machen, hinzu müsste man die Schnorchelposition in 2Ahsen verstellen ( korrigieren ).den Schnorchel etwas Länger machen und meine Schnorchel aufsetzen. Vielleicht kann man auch den von GWX benützen aber mann müsste ihn fixieren auf die neue Hülle.

Gibt es jemanden der das im Hexaeditor machen kann???
Er würde mir dadurch viel arbeit abnehmen.
