Enough with the thank you's already, I've only made two props spin in the right place! Personally, I would never be able to make such a mod (as all the other stuff you've made), with all the modelling etc. You've done some nice work yourself.

PS: take another look at my PM of the other day. Judging by the screenshots you may have overlooked some of my suggestions.

Hi Skwasjer !
I didn't overlook your suggestions : I will emplment them later, I didn't have the time yet. I basically remade the mod, added a couple items like the second type of Kaiten and the new turbine torpedo which nearly got in service.. and made the specs more accurate.

I also edited the item informations.

There's still work to be done on this mod.

Ok, since you made him stop, can I start? Really appreciate the assistance, I had given up. I knew the starting location was wrong and why they were in the wrong place, but I just had my mind made up that the existing numbers were not going to work for the rotation so I gave up trying. I have learned a lesson. I gave up, simply because I made up my mind that those numbers were not going to work, so I stopped trying to find the real problem. (probably would not have found it anyway, but I gave up without a fight)

Skwasjer,

do you know why the model has a white bottom in game as opposed to 3DS ?

I modified the detonator in size and location so as to fit the Kaiten nose, and added a 3D node to the Detonator node of the Kaiten type 1, type 2 as for now it has the same model, reuses the detonator of the type 1 :

I reworked the Kaiten model, flipping back surfaces where needed :

flipped a few tiny surfaces, not that anyone will look that close in game :

this sums it up for now, will upload an updated version now.

Honestly, I don't, I didn't see that white/bright bottom when I tested it. I'll have a look at your release later today...

New version uploaded, includes a new texture, I didn't like the tower on the first version, now the tip of the periscope is dark like in RL :

Enjoy !

keltos01,

I have an idea for you.

On the variants of subs capable of carrying the kaiten, why not add some aft tubes to carry them? Is it possible to have them of such a size that they can ONLY carry the kaiten? This would allow any proper forward normal load carried, as well as X kaiten. The fact it faces aft is not a huge problem due to the way they'd likely be employed anyway...

Just an idea.
