Russia in possession of “the most powerful nuclear submarine in the world”

As the war in Ukraine continues, the focus has been on Russia’s arsenal of weapons. Long before the conflict began, the country celebrated the arrival of a state-of-the-art submarine in its navy. Like France and the United States, Russia has several stealth submarines equipped with cruise missiles. One of these nuclear submarines was commissioned in May 2021. It’s name? K-561 Kazan aka Kazan. Despite its relatively small size, this submarine should be taken very seriously as it’s capable of staying at sea for long periods of time and is virtually undetectable thanks to a ‘noise attenuation system’. What makes it particularly threatening is the dangerous equipment on board…

The Kazan is a real submarine assault tank which is said to be able to carry 40 Kalibr-like cruise missiles, along with hypersonic Zircon missiles.

A Zircon missile is a weapon that is known for its ‘invincibility.’ It can reach 1,000 kilometres and can travel 8 times faster than the speed of sound. The missile is said to be able to redirect its trajectory in mid-air, making it very difficult to intercept.

The Kazan is not the only vessel that is equipped with these dangerous missiles—there are several other Russian ships that carry them as shown in the video below.
