No watch officer - no contact reports?
I was browsing the SH3 review at SimHQ when I come upon this:
"The manual also does not tell you that if there is no Officer on watch you will not be notified of ships spotted" http://www.simhq.com/_naval/naval_016a.html Now I think I know why my watch crew wasn't notifying me of contacts and I'd come out of TC being blasted by a warship! -- ![]() |

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=83243 You need at least three, better four, watchmen for a real 360° scan. All the WO does is to give you the range and bearing to contacts. |

![]() Though I'm still wondering why my 4-man watch crew sometimes wouldn't announce a visual sighting even close in good weather? Hasn't happened since I installed GW, though I always have a WO up there, too (since GW changes him to the weather guy). -- ![]() |
