Default Why the KGV just dont shoot. "Fix Posted"

In truth is does but never at the ranges of any other ship, why?.

Well here is the problem, in GUNS.SIM there are actually 2 listings for the "14InchDoubleT". Now as all of those who have played around with an eqp file for any ship know, the above is the LINKNAME for that gun turret. But the thing is, in the sim file you will find these enteries :

Barrel.14InchDoubleT_barrel.M

and :

Barrel.14InchDoubleT_barrelKGV.M

BOTH are the SAME gun turret and BOTH are called with the LINKNAME "14InchDoubleT".

So that means that on any NODE that the LINKNAME "14InchDoubleT" has been used there are in fact 2 x 14Inch Double Turrets on that NODE. This I believe causes some confusion to the KGV and the end resault is a slower reaction time to enemy threats.

Now the fix is real simple, just change :

Barrel.14InchDoubleT_barrelKGV.M

to :

Barrel.14InchDoubleN_barrelKGV.M

Because this version of the 14InchDoubleT will not traverse properly nor shoot. Then the LINKNAME will only call :

Barrel.14InchDoubleT_barrel.M

And Long Range Naval Gunnery now happens with the KGV.

Ok fixed guns.sim file now ready for D/L. Just place the guns.sim file into your libary folder - */Sillent Hunter III/Data/Libary.
