Bought A Copy of Das Boot (Directors Cut)
I splurged as I had some extra credit on iTunes and bought a copy. Forgotten how good this movie is and its depiction of the U-Boat war -- although I think it takes place in spring '42 before the Battle of the Atlantic turned real ugly for the Germans.
I'll watch some more of it before I continue my Current career in SH III as skipper of a Type IXC-40 on cruises to the tanker rich Caribbean. |

Got that a few years ago. It is the ULTIMATE movie. I love it.

Long version is the best one, and for sure Das Boat is the best U boat movie.

It begins in Autumn of 1941, the patrol was during October and November of 1941, I think!
