Default My doorman died.

And so he passed away before ambulance arrived. May he rest in peace. Did any of you have some one die in your presense?

Sorry to hear that. What a way to start the new year.

I had sort of something like that happening to me when my father suffered a stroke. He was kept alive by machines for a few days but then his brain functions seized and he was pronounced dead.
It's strange to see a body that's still breathing (because of machines) and still has a beating heart but the person is actually dead.

Not sure if Jimbuna or I really count for this question. It seems an occupational hazard for our respective jobs.

Saw both parents take their last breath, a memory that won't go away, even with time.

Sorry for your loss ikalugin as it's obvious that it affected you. Likewise, sorry for your losses Jim, Eddie, Schroeder and fireftr18. It's hard to imagine anything worse then watching a family member pass on or anyone else for that matter .

That has got to be a tough decision to make.

True that but it was my moms decision ultimately.

Not really, but I did unfortunately discover a brother who had passed in the night when I was 16. That was rough.

Yes, when my mother died in hospital, and a few cases in traffic accidents, and construction work, machinery.

It gets harder each time , the last a young mother with a baby roller.
She managed to push the roller in safety before hit by a truck. Thank heavens I didnt saw that one happen, came into the aftermath, but the memory of the event chokes me up this very day. I just hope I never see such things again. I am too fainthearted.

Hats of to all emergency personell that has to deal with this on a daily basis, whether they are police, firefighters or paramedics and not to forget, the folks that clean and tidy up the place afterwards.

You have my sincere respect

I'm so sorry to hear that.

I haven't seen a person die, but I did watch my Dog get put down after the cancer started killing her slowly... I don't like to think about it.
