Well, they do have a point, and perhaps when we get an economy we'll be able to. Of course, with such a large empire we could be paying this for a while...probably cheaper to just recolonise everyone.

If Britain paid reparations to all of it's former colonies it would cease to exist altogether.
An eye for an eye only leaves everyone blind.

If Britain pays reparation, they should also tear the railroads and roads out of the ground and forbid the use of western medicine, schooling and bring back the Rajas and the cast system.
At least the loudest politicians there will have to go back to shoveling dung like their ancestors did before the British came.

Indeed mate and made all the more distastefull, when you think we are handing out aid to a country that has its own space and nuclear programmes.

Just buy them off with concessions for glitzy casinos, tax-free cheap cigarettes, fireworks and gas.

Our aid is no longer needed and yet the UK sticks a gun to India's head screaming take the aid money.

Who's got a space program? India that's who, and a few years ago they said thank you for all your aid money but we don't need it now.


What next, pay Argentina for kicking their arses off the Falkland's because what we did has resulted in them all going down with the mumps!

Paying Germany compensation for the post war years of occupation telling the Germans its a bloody sausage and not a frankfurter!
