A couple of years ago I got a message like this about a file missing. I didn't want to, or have the time to do a re-install. I considered it to be like any other file that was missing on my pc. I run weekly backups on my system so I went to the Windows 'Backup-Restore' screen and using the most current restore, I restored the missing file to its original location. After doing that I started SH5 and ran with no problems. I don't know if that will work for you but it saved my a lot of time and frustration.

I have the UPlay Browser disabled in my game with TDW_GenericPatcher_v_1_0_168_0 as well as the Orbit Listener checks disabled as per the screenshot. I have Orbit Listener disabled in the (sh_nclient) section of the Generic Patcher also. Just add a Desktop shortcut from your C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\sh5.exe

I am running "The Wolves of Steel" megamod and have had no problems. It's Great!! SH5 loads up without UPlay!!

EDIT: If you absolutely and positively can't possibly see yourself getting through your day without UPlay here is a "known" good copy of libcef.dll off my computer that you can drop in your C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\ directory. http://www.mediafire.com/download/rb...262/libcef.zip
