Getting new sub with OHII ?

Does anyone know what actually triggers the game to offer new sub for a player? Cant remember now, when was type VIIB offfered in Total Germany campaign? Is it date or mission objectives/tonnage related?

What about VIIC , has anyone played OHII enough to recive VIIC offer?

Hi vdr

Looking at the data below I think you will offered the change from VIIA to VIIb when you do your first end of patrol in Wilhelmshaven whatever date that is.

Cannot help regarding VIIC as I have never got that far in to the game yet.

Unless someone tells you I will get back to you as soon as I get one.

I got the offer of a new boat (type VIIB) after completing the first Eastern British Coastal Waters/ Scapa raid patrol even despite receiving a radio message from Bdu that stated Gunther Prien was claiming the credit and fame for sinking "Royal Oak", when it was really our boat that had just killed it!

From a previous career if I remember correctly, you get offered the VIIC at the start of "Happy Times" after you are transferred to Lorient.

The campaigns trigger the new sub. It is date and mission objective completed related.
Post #2 of the Open Horizons thread tells you when you get a new sub, etc. I can not find the word "total germany".
Yes, I have received a VIIC.

Got it ...New sub offer is dependable of player's rating showed in CareerTrack.upc file and it hasn't anything to do with mission tonnage objectives. I'm not really sure how rating is actually earned except by sinking capital ships(1 point)...Patrol without tonnage will give you -1 point.

In one patrol the game actually gave me -3 rating points for 3 neutral ships?!

I tested this for a long time and could not edit the career rating to force a new boat.
I really wanted to do this for some campaigns in OHII, but could not.

the best I could do was to preset which boats are available for each campaign (stock issue boat). If the players ratings are too low, they will not get the boat.
If the player started the campaign as the start of their career (silentotto) they did get the boat as it was the only one available

Yes , I realized that too when I passed from HT to WA campaign withT type VIIB. When I checked my rating it was -16 because I was skipping patrols...

Luckily, we now know how to artificially trigger new sub offer, it's ace rating (4 rating points and more)...
