The angle on bow is the bearing of your sub as seen from the target vessel. Together with target's speed and range, it is essential to the calculation of a good torpedo solution in most situations.

That is the follow target offset. Place mouse cursor over numbers and use mouse wheel to adjust (leading/lagging). This allows you to activate follow target but have the camera placed at some offset (+ or -) from center of unit
