Default Single best Mod for SH5?

To ensure it is not overlooked, p-medved asked:

Quote:
I am completely new to Silent Hunter 5, and I am not very computer savy, as some of the younger players are. To start I would like to know what is the single best mod download; that is simple and safe for a beginner. I would like kind of a step by step instruction, at least for the very first one. I need how to open the downloaded file, and how to put it the proper Silent Hunter file. I would like to know things like how to get torpedos without having to return to port, and ect. Thanks for any help that can be provided.
Your feedback is appreciated, what say ye?

Many of the best mods and years of hard work by many people all rolled into one single mod that is safe and easy to use.......the answer is simple.....

"The Wolves of Steel 1.03 - Subsim Community SH5 Megamod"

In my humble opinion of course........

Default Mods Won't Work

I need Help. My mods are all unzipped (I'm 95% sure) and in the JSGME MODS folder. In the JSGME I placed them all on the right side of the column. When I enter the game they don't seem to be working. My JSGME folder is in my Silent Hunter 5 folder. I don't know what could possibly be the problem. Can anyone help???

Your list of mods should be in the left hand column and from there you click on them individually and select the right arrow button which will then move them into the right hand column and enable them.

It may be because your your jsgme exe is not in the main SH5 root folder, and your MOD folder is in SH5/JSGME/MODS instead of SH5/MODS.

Was there a readme file somewhere with JSGME? I am asking this because many of us subsimmers have found out newbies need help because they simply did not read the documentation at all. If an attempt to understand document was read, thanks for trying and we are here to help further.

TheBerbsters' links are a great wealth of information in one spot, including JSGME. Click on my signature link at the bottom for more JSGME help. the JSGME pdf file has lots of information. Perhaps something there will help, too. I have not had the time to go through all of the TheBerbsters' related information about JSGME.
