Default Ultimate General: Gettysburg

I picked up this game yesterday on Steam, and it is a great sim!! Very intense with simultaneous movement going on,lol No IGO/UGO type turns, this is real time style play. Think of it as Sid Meier's Gettysburg on steroids! It can handle thousands of troops on the screen at any given time, 4000 to 6000 in the first 3 hours of the battle I played yesterday! No slow down in FR either. I think its much better then the Scourge of War series covering the ACW and better then what HPS has done in their series on the ACW.
It uses the Unity Game engine, and the guys behind this sim have done extensive mods for the Total War series too. I checked the Steam forums first about this game before I bought it and everyone is having a great time with it so far, hardly any complaints. Its an early access version, about 70% complete, but very playable and a blast so far! Multiplayer is coming, but this AI in this game will give you a run for your money, it is very well done!
I mean for $9.99 you can't go wrong at this price! Here's a link for the store page on Steam-
http://store.steampowered.com/app/306660

Watch the video, its pretty amazing, but its just a small hint of what this game can do! The designers have said you will be able to mod the game, but they don't know to what extent yet.

Bought it yesterday. What a great game! The AI is, even on 'balanced', amazing!
This is not like Empire Total War, where you can predict the AI.
The AI in UGG is smart as hell, they flank, they retreat, they exploit if you allow it.
The AI is so great I dont even mind losing to it!

It is a good game! I hope they use this to make other battles from the Civil War too. They could do Napoleon type battles too I would think!

I saw it and a video at Steam some days ago, and almost posted it here, but then thought: well, no idea anymore what I thought, but I didn't post the video, so maybe I did not think at all...

Seeing as Napoleon: Total War was a great game, but then the developer of Ultimate General: Gettysburg (known as Darth Vader) made it mindblowingly amazing with Darthmod Napoleon, I'll have to try and get this already.

So this is the game that Darth Vader had done? I knew he was doing his own game, but did not know that he was doing THIS one, but I am now not surprised.

I had some sort of a Civil War mod for both NTW and ETW, and the game kept crashing, so I went to uninstall it, but it trashed the sound in the game. So I haven't played the original game in years. I love NTW.

Man I wish it would be April 1st...

Seriously that is a perfect example of how dangerous/venomous "political correctness" can be.

Unfrigginbelievable.

I wish it was.

Things have been trending in this direction for a long time. It will only get worse.

[UPDATE 26-6-2015]Ultimate General is back! Unchanged.
After several late night phone calls with Apple yesterday and today the game has returned to AppStore the way it was... in 1863.
So happy days for the Apple users out there.

I have been keeping an eye on this title, I noticed it because I was on the Game-Labs forum for Naval Action. With some of the good words here I may just have to get it.
