Default Crush Depth

I have not played SH5 since early last year but I have some questions that just came to me.

What depth can the player submarines actually go without being crushed? The deepest I could get was around 210 safely, but other sources say the VII should be able to reach 260.

Also, could someone upload the different creaking sounds from the first level to the last level for me?

Thanks for your time.

any hull damage decreases the max dive depth also.

I understand this fact, as I perform control tests with 100%.

The problem with crush depth is that it's impossible to determine it exactly without getting crushed, so real-life tests are nonexistant. Some u-boats did indeed survive going to 260 meters and deeper (I think one reported surviving 280). On the other hand we have no way of knowing about ones that got crushed at 230, or 210, since they didn't report it.

At least one US sub reported surviving more than 600 feet, which while not deep by Type VII standards is still deeper than they were supposedly rated for. Type IXs were also less safe, being larger than the Type VII.

SH3 has two different mods available that vary the crush depth from session to session, so you never know what's going to be safe. Does SH5 have something similar? I don't know.

I just crushed at 177....with no damage.

never really go that deep...but obviously I've never tested out how far I can go. But I def didn't think I would crush below 200. So much for a warm fuzzy below 200 meters.

If you use my R.U.P. 1.7 or TWoS then navigators max dive depth ability is unlocked and free from the start , so it's the first thing what you have to do when start new campaign/mission and forget about that...Watch this video...
