On one hand I totally agree with you - the outcome was totally skewed by gender.

On the other hand, at 17 the "boy" was likely sexually active already. Its that whole "how do you rape the willing" issue that bugs me on stuff like this.

Still, justice is supposed to be blind - and it sure wasn't this time!

I'd agree with you but females in the US are more sexually active than boys are. So the sex of the victim should not matter. Rape is rape is it not? But society seems to have a bias against males who rape females compared to females who rape males.

There was a rape case just like this at my local High School. I just happened to go shopping at the store right across the street and there was a TV reporter interviewing people, she came to me and explained what had happened and wanted my opinion

"Why couldn't I have been so luck when I was in school" I replied.

It did not make the 6 o'clock news.

Ok, the female teacher raped the TWO boys multiple times each coming out to a total of 30 rapes combined between the two males.

The man in the article you linked to raped the ONE girl how many times? Once? Twice? Doesn't say so I'm guessing just once.

It's still not comparable. 30 rapes to 1? Come on man.
