Default Swedish transitvestites

More than a dozen male employees working for the Roslagsbanan train services in the Swedish capital have been wearing skirts in order to keep cool.

One of the drivers, Martin Åkersten, explained that temperatures can hit 95F (35C) in the train cab during the summer.

Uniform regulations by the train company Arriva state that skirts or long trousers are acceptable. At a meeting last year, drivers were told that shorts were not allowed.

They have given their blessing to the men wearing skirts however.

"To say anything else would be discrimination," Thomas Hedenius, the communications head, told the local Mitti newspaper

A kilt would be more appropriate don't you think?

Nice word play on the thread title, Spoon.

I think I look pretty good when I wear one of my wife's dresses, it's her panties that I have problems with.

Reminds me of the Bach tune 'Hair on a G String' Better to get your own set of panties.

Do not see why they cannot wear uniform shorts. Health and safety in a skirt/kilt would be the same as shorts, both have exposed legs.

This. I think the skirt option was put in place for female employees who don't want to wear pants, or is a holdover from a time when it was less acceptable for them to do so, but it leaves a skirt as the only "cool" option for them in hot weather as well, and not every woman wants to wear a skirt for that kind of job. I'd hazard a guess and say MOST women wouldn't want to do so.

Uniform shorts, just above the knee if they are concerned about "propriety," would be a much better option all around. If you're worried about health & safety with regard to exposed leg, favoring a knee length skirt over knee length shorts is just ridiculous. Skirts allow far more possibility of exposure. I'm not saying they should disallow them for that reason, but make shorts an option for both sexes.

Exactly. I am sure that the cost of issuing everyone with a uniform short would not be too much. Or even better long trousers with a zip off leg that simply converts trousers into shorts. Then they have the option. Craghopper and other outdoor clothing firms make them, and they are a useful piece of clothing.
