I clicked through a few threads from 2002 and it appeared that he was simply posting whatever right wing e-mail forwards that had appeared in his inbox that day. But you probably knew him better, so I'll trust your judgement.

If I recall correctly, in 2002 he was fourteen. When he said something he was usually pretty mature about it. Then again, I'm biased; it was in his sig that I first saw the cat gif that I currently use in mine.
