Default Just what ship was that in real life?

Okay, I'm pretty sure most of us know about the Chitose class seaplane carrier hanging out North of Luzon in the opening days of the war in the RSRD mod. What I want to know is, what ship is that supposed to be? I've checked the Tabulated Records of Movement for the seaplane carriers on combinedfleet.com, and none of them are in that area. So, what ship is that Chitose representing? It's driving me nuts.

Actually, I think I found it. Auxiliary seaplane tender Sanyo Maru. Was at Aparri on December 14th, then reached Formosa on the 16th. That's right in the correct time period for the Chitose to show up. The two look nothing alike, though. But when it comes to games, you do the best you can, right?

Often Lurker had to use the closest ship available, so he used the Chitose for the Sanyo as you stated.

You will also find the real Chitose in RSRD covering the landing of troops at Legaspi. This is a fun and large group to attack in RSRD, many large Pass. ships, etc. Just start the war and sit about 10 nms north of the San Bern exit. Careful, a few sub hunters and minelayers come through before the large invasion force.
