Default Q on Ending Patrol

I know this may be a no brainer to some, but it's got me stumped.

When in a campain and returning to Kiel to replenish and repair, obviously hit refit, this gives you new torps and is supposed to fix damage..yes?

Or should one hit end patrol?

I head back to Kiel, and the refit options is available but not the end patrol.

So I hit refit, but it doesn't fix hull damage. So I try to park the sub in the pen, more damage, then kill myself trying to get out.

Thanks.

most likely while you were on patrol your base port has changed. In stock game/campaign especially, the BDU 'forgets' to tell you about it. If you look at your nav map, however, you will see that the sub icon has shifted its location to Wilhelmshaven

Here's another question to go with Bill's.

If you screw up and select End Patrol instead of Refit, do you lose the count you already have for tonnage sunk on a campaign mission? I did that on the British Supply mission the first time out. Went back out without selecting British Supply and sank more shipping. Came back for a Refit at Kiel and went back for more. I now have a total of 110,000+ tons and got no credit for completion of the mission.

You can end patrol as many times as you like in an objective i.e. British Supply. Your patrol totals each time will be saved and count to the campaign.

I always select "end patrol"

I just did that T with the British Supply. Didn't get a "complete". Maybe because not all the shipping I sent to the bottom were in the BS Zone. Most was but not all.

Is it possible to go into the config and chea a bit and change False to True? Note tho that I intend to start a new campaign with a clean install of SH5, so some of the mods I want to use will work.

Edit:
But I first want to do the British Blockade patrol to see what happens.... and get a heads up on it.
