Type IX and XXI as AI subs, possible?
Seeing as there have been mods which introduce an AI type IIA uboat into the game, is it possible that we could add an AI type IX and XXI into the game?

Ok what I know is that the type II was already coded into the vanillia game. With new ships already being imported in it could be possible if the model exist but I have'nt heard of a type IX or XXI be imported in. I'm not the expert in this subject try PMing Uekel or Darkwriath with this question. I do know it takes a lot of time, work, and skills to import new ships. Keep your ear in the wind and wait patiently good things to come.

The GR2 Editor/Viewer is not complete yet and thus we are still unable to create new GR2 files from scratch and we are still unable to add/remove geometry to/from GR2 files (the current test version being used by testers allows geomtry to be changed though). Once I complete it everything will be possible.
Now that doesn't mean that one will be able to add new playable subs into the game. That will require an exe patch so that the game knows about these new subs ![]() ![]() |
