Download GWX3. Heres the link.
You want the 7 .bin files, the .exe, and the SH3 Commander CFG files. http://www.gamefront.com/files/user/jimbunaGWX3.0 You also want SH3 Commander. Its in the downloads section of this site. It is also on the above Gamefront page. It is the two mods that you cant live without. ![]()

There's a few very good super mods, gwx is only one of them. There are many many sub and stand alone mods on top of that.
Try the mods forum for a better list, and the downloads section. |

As for the second question, about a double knuckle, the vanilla book says that if your boat is above 25 meters, it will crash to 25 meters as well as instituting the two 90 degree turns. If you're already at or below 25 meters depth, it leaves your depth alone.
I still only run vanilla 1.4 on my craptop, and have to leave many of the video options turned down. Once I rid my "real computer" of its nasty Trojan, I'll try GWX. Hope that helps, -- Zygoma -- The perpetual n00b

one more thing, does gwx feature uboat replenishing call-ins via radio? idk how realistic this is, but i ran out of torps in one of my missions and lo, along floats a friendly oiler, nd i jsut thought wouldn't it be so cool if he could fuel me up and resupply me...

and another thing... >.< how do I run GWX, it has no exe of its own, when I use the default exe it loads vanilla SH3, and I'v installed SH3 Commander into the SH3 root, not sure if that's correct, but when I run the game from SH3Com's funny little window, GWX loads properly... albeit with much longer load times than vanilla had

If i remember correrctly--go into your shIII folder on your C? drive----copy the exe shortcut to your desktop---it's been awhile but i think after installing GWX--it doesn't overwrite the existing desktop shortcut that was there--you have to grab it from the program folder. regards, snafu

![]() ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- great mod, ![]() I question the decision to remove the directional indicator from the map table, other ships are understandable, but your own sub should have a directional indicator, since all u have to do to get it is just zoom in - makes for excessive amount of map zooming. also the slide-out compass seems a bit overdone, it's huge... and it doesn't fit in with the new gauges etc. in the command interface, it kinda looks like a paper-cutout imo ![]() i'm not hating/trolling/trashing here, just some constructive criticism... ![]() |

There shouldn't be an indicator for direction since back then it was hand plotted. The indicator is an anachronism from more modern naval games.
And the oversized compass is necessary since it is way more accurate then the random heading you get with the stock one. |
