Balls up . Heading to drop off a spy near Londonderry . My deck crew spotted a plane and we dived . He dropped a bomb while we were diving and my crew were all injured . Most of my equipment is damaged but repairable fairly easily except the diesel engines which will take 6 hours but we have to be surfaced to fix them . Attacked by 2 more planes while crew are recovering enough to repair damaged equipment except the diesel engines . Managed to shoot the 2 planes down before they could drop bombs . While on the surface i noticed that the 3rd plane didnt attack but flew high over us and then turned away . Now i know why , 2 nearby battleships have been directed towards us and are on the horizon . Depth under keel is 60 mts and the weather is clear . The diesel engines will take another 1.5 hours to fix but we have to be surfaced to fix them so that is suspended for now . More to follow .

Man thats crazy!! Are the repair times part of the stock game? Or did the repair times have to be modded to be longer/ realistic??

Yea the modded game is so awesome...I sank a unarmed merchant away from a convoy of armed merchants....using a safe distance and deck gun! I was looking thru my binocs and saw a red star in the sky...so I had to free camera and zoom in and what a surprise...the sinking ship was sending up a distress flare to the convoy....it was so cool!...Another one was when I sent a eel to the bow of a troop Transport.... I was watching the explosions and fire and and notice the smoke billowing out of the portholes....so much amazing details....thanks modders

Sober strangely enough I just completed that same mission last night. It took me all day messing about in thin water and nearly got killed from depth charges. I was able to slip away and approach the drop off point at night. It is with out a doubt a night operation since you have to get the sub close to shore to send off the life boat. Good luck and let us know.

Abso-freakin-lutely night time puh-lease. I think Sober just got caught while in route. I hope I don't get caught like that. The game gets a bit real when your crew that you thought you got sick of are now all wounded and you've got no engines.
Get-em Sober. I guess "Be more agressive" doesn't apply here....

The position i was at was
W8 27 N57 31 .
It turns out that the 2 ships were transports . I sunk both but am unable to fix the diesels . Career over .

+Try to lay down the u-boat on the seabed.
The location seems to be right but this would be the most dangerous part.
Distance to island Uist 34nm, to island Saint Kilda 17nm.

+Try to disconnect all electrical equipment while waiting for the next Radio-communication time.

The question is: Is it realistic to assume that there will be a Search And Rescue operation for the u-boat and u-boat crew by the Kriegsmarine?
