New Player: Lots of Questions

Hello,

I downloaded SH5 a couple days ago, vaguely amused by the concept, but I have only started to become enthralled by this game after starting to download a few mods: great work, I must say. The game has improved immensely since I started downloading and installing them, but I'm a bit worried that I might have gone a bit crazy (I have 21 running at the moment....)

I was wondering if I should run the Open Horizons II mod. I have noticed that, even though I have now sunk three freighters with my deck gun crew in the Irish Sea and Channel mouth to the Atlantic, my campaign has not seemed to "start." I have not had any acknowledgement that I have started the patrol, and the 100k tonnage bar is empty. Is this a known bug with the game?

Hopefully I will have a better question next time. I'm still trying to swim through all these mods, and figure out exactly what it is that I'm playing. It's fun, though!

I'm speaking for myself here, other skippers will recommend you something different (and maybe even more useful), but this is the most stable SH modification I've had so far. Enjoy and good hunting.
