Default [REL] sobers reduced deck gun range mod SH5

sobers reduced deck gun range mod V2 SH5
The deck gun range is reduced .
The reload time for the deck guns are slower .
The barrel traverse speed is slower .
Say goodbye to high tonnage with the deckgun .

''The U-boat however, was a poor gun platform since it rolled a lot, and ocean waves frequently washed over, making the gun platform slippery and hazardous. To prevent the crews from being washed over, they were fastened with life lines. A further factor was deck guns had no range finders, so engagements had to be done at close range.''
install with the mod enabler anytime .
Dont let it be overwriten .

...finaly a bit more realism for the deck gun, what about the rate of fire... can you also look over it, as it is unrealistic high, even with a green crew.

i saw you edited the cfg file to reduce the range, shure the ships are not effected ?

i think it would be better editing this files, range and rof should be stored there.

\data\Objects\Guns\Deck_Gun_GE88mm.sim
\data\Objects\Guns\Deck_Gun_GE105mm.sim

...never real worked with goblin, not shure if you can edit the sim files there, but hex would go ... maybe TDW or his new tool ?

I will have a look . There is nothing to change regarding how close you have to be to an object for the gun to fire in the sim file . Does the cfg file alter the ship guns or as i hoped just the sub AI ?

nice thats ok then, but what if the player guns by himself... this restriction wont work then or

... on the other hand, if the range value isnt stored in the sim file or isnt changeable, its a large step forward !
