Spoiled by SH3, some questions moding SH5

I played a bunch of SH3 with the big Grey Wolves expansion and I loved it, so much that it actually spilled over to my brothers. Now one of them has been playing a bunch of SH5 and loving the updates the new engine brings it. So I figured it is time to move up.

Modding SH3 was pretty easy considering someone else did all the work for me in the GWX mega mod

Not so in SH5, although the magnum opus seems like it is coming along nicely. So after looking around the forums a bit I picked up the magnum opus mod and installed it(thanks to the excellent video tutorials from stoianm) but I noticed that the sonar man never verbally says any indication of contacts. I see there is a big thread about patching the exe and I was wondering which of these I need to use AND if there are any major fixes I need to use along with magnum opus?

I appreciate the help that this forum has but the amount of information is so overwhelming its had to get a grasp on it. Thanks in advance guys, especially all the modders.

Your best bet is to go through the Mod Loadout thread and check out other people's choice of mods. I recommend locating 0rpheus' comments since he has a link in his signature that takes you to his mod list which is very nice. Mia389 also has a great mod list in his signature with links to all the mods (very useful!).
