Max contact range 16 klicks?

Is it true that when the sonar guy reports a contact, that contact can be no farther away than 16 km?

I think it's more like 20 klicks

Maybe in theory, and after basic settings, but 16 km is sufficient

With GWX3.0 you should here a convoy 30 km away but there is no guarantee your hydrophone operator will announce said contact (dependant on experience).

Much better to listen yourself.

Ah, okay, thanks for the info. I'll start drawing longer lines on the map, I was using 16km as an absolute max.
