[REL] Under water distortion - lowered

Hi Mates,

NOTE: STEELVIKING'S MOD "SteelViking&Community's Underwater Mod " will do the same thing and more...take a look at his mod.

Very small mod.....

I believe I have eliminated the underwater distortion by modifing the
"x:\Silent Hunter 5\data\Filters\Underwater.pfx" parameter as below;

Was;
UnderwaterDispMap
{
Intensity 0.025
}

Changed to;
UnderwaterDispMap
{
Intensity 0.000
}

Yes, that will eliminate the underwater refraction. My underwater mod does it also(using a different method though).

Yeah, by refraction, I am referring to the underwater distortion that the DispMap produces. I got rid of it in my underwater mod because that distortion is totally unrealistic. Let me know what you think about the Underwater mod, I could always use more people's input about future versions.

In the folder data/Misc there is a .tga file called dispmap. It is an ocular occlusion map(a.k.a. normal map) I simply blanked it out with the neutral color for occlusion maps. I found that this method was better, because if you put the value down to 0 in the .pfx the camera would get a very weird effect upon coming out of the water. I am not sure if others would get the same weird effect with different hardware setups though.
