Default sh3 poweful deck gun or nuclear torp mod

hey guys im looking for a mod to make my torps or deck gun more poweful.... im gonna have some fun with it before i do my reinstall when i get my new disc... any ideas?... or what do i edit?

Grab a copy of S3D (http://s3d.skwas.com/) and have a look in the GUNS_SUB.sim file. For a gun tweak I borrowed an ID number from SHELLS.sim to be able to fire a larger projectile.

Unsure about nukifying torpedoes, I've only ever boosted the explosive power of my torpedoes a small bit. Anyway, have a look in Torpedo.sim to see what you can modify there.

Root directory to find those file: <SH3 install folder>\data\Library

Make sure to use JSGME and create a directory (<SH3 install>\MODS\YourMod) for your modifications, in case something breaks.

i cant work it out lol.... any chance u can email me your modded torpedo.sim file?
is it the impuse value i change?

Yes, I believe you are correct. Modifying the impulse value should give you results.

cool thanks... i did that and hit a tanker.... it blew the aft section clean off... like 100 meters away lol

i hit a dd with one and the aft sunk instanly!... the for secton sayed afloat for like 10 more minutes

First of all sorry for the very very late question....
i have S3D and could work with it if someone could point out the changes needed for:

1.more effective deck gun (damage wise)
2.faster reload time
3.more ammo

I'd like to nuke one of those pesky torpedo speedboats with some overkill ordnance. Manage to hit one of those guys once and it was the most spectacularly funny thing I ever saw. The boat was literaly blasted out of the water and became airborne (good 10-15m at that), with an enhanced nuke you might disintigrate the thing completely

At least you're asking a genuine question.

Using SH3 commander, you can edit the deck gun reload time. The basic.cfg file that comes with SH3C can be modified to hold however many shells you want. Unsure how to change firepower.

When in doubt, empty the magazine Since you're using SHC to add more ammo the easiest way is via the additional ammo mod; it can be done through SHC's static_settings file, but that can be difficult to work with until you're familiar with how variables are handled. The extra ammo mod sidesteps the need to edit that file.

So did you score multiple hits on the poor sob?
