Autumn patrol I get Hegehoged for the first time, which once my heart started beating again was fairly cool, especially being as Tommy missed, just,

So I get back to France and after hammering out the dents set sail in mid December heading off the west coast of Ireland to hunt the convoy convergence points, (Crew not happy that we will be out over xmas but there's a war on)

So air activity is intense, but I have the tower with the monster air defences so I'm taking on all comers,

All is well and good until christmas morning, radar signals detected, here we go again, and its a Beaufighter, have him lined up nicely in the sights as he's lining up his run waiting until I see the whites of his eyes when suddenly he disappears behind a wall of fire, Odd think I for 2 seconds until the boat starts rocking and deck crew starts screaming,

Bugger rocketed me, cost me 2 dead, 2 injured, got him on his 2nd pass tho
