So I'm mauling a convoy just south of Halifax in July 1942.
Single flower-class escort. First run on the convoy I nail 5 heavy ships, including a big tanker and a Brooklyn-class light cruiser. Second run I take out a couple more heavies and the Flower. I'm tearing up the rear of the convoy at night with the 105. And then I lose power! ![]() Steve |

Well, he could've tried saving, but in the middle of engaging a convoy? Runs a high risk of having the save turn out unusable anyway.

I had a similar thing happen to me a while ago.We were expecting the gas man coming to fit us a new boiler. When he arrived he turned all the house electrics off without notifying us,the idiot! and as you can imagine,I had SH3 running at the time he decided to end that particular career for me.
A decent UPS would be a fine addition to any SH3 fanatic's arsenal ![]() You have my sympathy maillemaker.

It would be worth saving such a battle several times using different save names just to ensure you would not lose it.
Grrrr. It's like the fisherman's one that got away. The big one. Real life story. Worked in a bank. Workmen cut the power while bank was open, no alarm system. Worse news, vault cabling cut, Friday PM. Someone must stay in branch all weekend due to alarm system being out. Guess who?
