Default TMO 2.0 oddities

Aight, so i was done with my RFB campaign and wanted to try something new, enter TMO 2.0.

Right of the bat ive discovered a couple if things i need some clarification on.

1. when i press the gramophone button under the misc button, a large conversion chart pops up, no gramophone. anyone know if theres a key i can press instead ?

2. When i press shift+F9 to enter the uboat radio room, i am prestented to an outside view halfway down the subs interior.

3. free view camera is not working (eventhough its enabled in the options menu before I leave for a mission).

Im using stock 1.5 and TMO 2.0 thats it.

I have read some of the accompanying pdf manual, but it was way too large to read all of it in one go.

anyone have any ideas about my 3 points ? is my installation foobar ?

1.) Check lower right hand corner of speed/range chart.

2.) Uboat Only.

3.) Explained in manual.

much appriciated ducimus.

ive just finished my first mission, i was out for 3 weeks from midway, and all i saw
was a 4000 tonn freighter just nw of saipan. due to heavy fog i had to get close in order to verify its identity and subsequently sunk it with the deck gun.

Next mission out from surabaya.. sure hope the hunting grounds down there are better. wish me luck

oh and... the targeting mechanism on the us boats sure is different.. having some trouble adjusting from the german uboats

thnx again, mucho appriciated.

just sunk my 2nd tranport and almost went visiting davy jones locker in the prosess.. for the first time, enemy DD's proceeded to pound me for at least 30 min real time severly damaging my sub.. had a hard time getting away

as for manuel targeting on US subs...well.... its different. ive taken a look at those threads of yours ducimus, and ill have to play with them some more before i can make up my mind as of to which method i prefere.

anyways, thanx for the quick responces

oh 1 last question. any way to get rid of that yellow triangle which comes up when targeting ships ?

TMO is configured so that Ahead Standard is the most fuel efficient setting.
SHould get about 16,000nm range at that speed IIRC.

Thx sergei. Read that in the manual, but sounds a bit strange for me that u are need more fuel sailing with 3 knots than with 9( in an S-Class ie).

But ok..... got that info now

This is true for gasoline engines; your car will have increasing mileage up to a certain speed (usually between 45 and 55 mph) and then falling mileage to top speed. I would suspect that a diesel engine would do this also.

Well, if you got better mileage the slower you went, you'd have to remain stationary to get the best mileage of all!

For it to be mileage, you do have to be making miles which requires forward movement.

You'd drift, so you would.

You're correct; according to Quantum theory, you aren't where you think you are anyway.

And as soon as you notice how fast you're going, you have no idea where you are at all
