I dunno, think if you can run the first one, this one should be no problem. Don't think they actually made any advancements in requirements, just optimizations and got rid of the vegetation.

Ah, and without being able to hide in said vegetation, I have doubts about the level of stealth you can achieve in Crysis 2. I is not convinced; they may have made a mistake moving to consoles.

We'll wait and see I guess. (Though I doubt I will buy this one after having played the crappy first one)

The first one wasnt a game, it was a playable benchmark/tech demo IMO.

crytek addmitted that it had a (not so great) story, and that they will try to fix that in this one.

I still don't get complaints about story in a shooter; you want story, play a RPG.

Still, only reason I liked Crysis is because I didn't aproach it as a shooter at all; played it as a stealth game. Hence the concerns about the next one.

yea, Thats what I liked about crysis. It was a game you could play as a tatical shooter. With a story to kind of direct you.

I feel C2 will be "COD" like game, with a story guideing you and just be EXTREMLY main stream. And linear

I'd say the story in a shooter is almost as important as it is in other genres.

Off topic, but if Cryengine 2 can pump out graphics like the ones at the bottom of this page, than I wounder what CE 3 will do/ look like. (the castle pics at the bottom.)

Have to say I don't know if I have any interest in this game. I liked Crysis right up till the aliens showed up (though I didn't like the NK nano suits as even though they were cheap copies, they performed WAY better then mine did), then I hated the rest of it. Pretty much like my reaction to Far Cry.

Yea, what is it with Crytek and aliens... Crysis would have been GREAT if it was only human enemy (IMO) Maby they have a secret weapon under development, you find out what it is, and it is unleashed on the world. And in Crysis 2 you had to defend somewhere they were attacking and then drive it to them and take there home land. or something.

If there's only aliens to fight, then I don't know how interested I am...

They took the worst part of the first one and made it into a new game. Clever.

Not only aliens, some of the earlier trailers actually focused on human oponents. Not defending, just saying.

It's arguable, yes. But Doom and Quake weren't popular for their story. This whole "shooter with a story" thing is fairly recent. I don't think a good story forms the core or is critical for a shooter.
