Default Submerged enemy subs.

I just finished chasing around a sound contact for a long time. It was either submerged or a bug.

At the hydrophone station it was just barely audible. If I tried to go faster than 1/3rd I couldn't hear it over the engine. I'm playing on a Dell M1730 which is a laptop so the speakers aren't the best and no head phones were available.

It was hard as hell to follow. The black contact line would never get longer than about 2000 meters and I kept loosing contact, I'm sure that I got to within a couple hundred meters of it at one point tho. I couldn't track it at all on the surface because I am using the no hydrophone on surface mod. It's just by luck that I noticed it in the first place.

I never did find find out what it was, I was in deep water and if it was very deep it was too dark to see with external free view. I have next/previous view keys mapped to shift+< and shift+>, but they cause an issue where I cannot get my 1st person view back so I was afraid to try that.

Eventually I lost contact.

I only made one save and that was just before I lost the contact . When I reload it I haven't been able to find it, it isn't where it was when I saved anyway.

Anyone else have this experience?

Is at a bug or sub?

Is it even possible that it was a sub?
