Default [TEC] Pinupgirl > Yougirlfriend

What do you need.
-Gimp/Photoshop
-DDS plugin

1. First you delete or move the picture pinup.dds in folder data/textures/TNormal/tex/pinup.dds.

2. Than you make a new picture in Gimp and save it in /data/textures/TNormal/tex. And rename it in pinup.dds.
But importent is make an alpha channel and make it black.(100% transparent)
Or make the alpha channel and mix it with your picture.(alpha to color)

3. Now you can start the game and see your girfriend or your mother.

Example.

Now if there was a way to have my ex-wife's face on the side of every boat I could blow up then we would be talking.

i think it would be sort of interesting to have the photo by the captains bed updated to reflect the wife or girlfriend.

The other photos (captains bed, radio station, small one near nav map and beside crewmen beds) are in

/data/Textures/TNormal/tex/various_books_posters_maps.dds

Waiting for more pinup mods

Thanks for the tips My poster got way to bright in the sub, and it's not that bright when I open it in Photoshop or Gimp, could it be an alpha-channel problem? I'm not sure how to make it in Gimp or Photoshop really, I tried some alpha-channel-options, but without success.

Can you write e.g. how you did the alpha-channel/ saving in e.g. Gimp or Photoshop?

Did you turn the alpha channel completely black? That might be the cause for it. The alpha channel in the original file isn't completely black, more like very dark grey.

Yes, in Photoshop, it's all black, but I'm not sure about the saving, there's so many options in the Nvidia plugin.

I use the DXT3 (or is it DXT5, cant remember now) with explicit alpha setting, seems to work just fine.

Also, good thing to note is to open the files with mip maps and count how many mip maps there is, then when saving pick 'generate new mip maps' and input the amount from the original. Don't know if this has much effect on this pinup thing, but explosions etc. use these.

I tried that but it won't open the file. Says something about wrong document.
