Default Imported note for the sh-5 development team!

Please add a crew on the deck when entering and leaving port. It could just be a key board button. For example make crew ready for entering/leaving port. They dont need to be animated. Just have them stand on deck please like so. in my view thats the only thing still missing from sh-5 so far. In the early stages on sh-3 development i was the first one that suggested seaguls in sh-3 . It might have been already on your list then but it got added and i felt that i had some tiny part in the development in sh-3.

Yes...a crew on deck function/ability would be a nice touch

I come here today and have the pleasure of finding more new threads, and as such, find this suggestion to be of good worth. ( Crew present and file fit for duty.) This i greatly warm to, and indeed wish it be implemented, if it is not already done so. That said, as always the critics will undoubtedly scorn the absurdity of this eye candy for want and need of more important issues, thus by indicating suddenly to take an deeper intrest in the work load of the devs and their speedily resolve to meet the timescale. Whatever the outcome, it has my approval. thank you

Yes i mean this would be in the line of the vibrating diesel engines we saw in the gameplay video. Like i said this should not take a lot of time to implement. I mean it allready has the crew on teh conning tower and the deck gun. I would see why it should be hard to code the game so you can place a crewmember of at least 4 on the deck !

Agreed. It would be a cool thing to see, and not all that big. U-boat flags and victory pennants would also be a small but nice touch.

So you're the one to blame for those noisy things.

<joking>

Nice idea. Considering the FPS thingy, I should be able to order "topside" or whatever and have my crew fall into formation on the deck, awaiting the adulations of an adoring crowd and band...at least until about late 1943, when I doubt my crew would follow my order, for fear of a bomb on the head.

FWIW I still remember the very simple 2D screen that AoTD employed. Simple, yet even after all these years still fondly remembered.

yes crew on deck would be a nice idea but after 1943 it may become a rare site

Well if there is an option to activate crew top-side then you could just not bring m topside if you choose to do so! That is if you felt a simulate a depression becuase you lost family in raids over the reich.

I didnt expect so much postive responses to the idea. Lets just hope the devs still have time to implement the feature if they picked up the thread. And it would be cool to be able to say i had this little idea that made it into the game. I had the same thing about the seagull thing. Offcourse like i said before it could allready been implemented and an idea by the devs themselves . But you could imagine i was flabbergaster to see seagulls in screenshots before sh-5 was actually realised. I got the idea from das boot the uncut version where they are stalked by a seagull and Die alte was starteled by one. Also having crew topside would also server another cool feature. Imagine taking on fuel and supplies from a milkcow and being next to one while having crew topside .

Crew on deck together with tonnage penants would be fantastic.
